Troubleshooting
Part of the Bring Shipping documentation. Previous: FAQ. Next: Developer notes.
| Symptom | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| “Paused: Bring refused the Mybring login or API key” | Bring answered 401. Check the e-mail address of the Mybring user and the API key (a new key replaces the old one), then click Test connection. |
| “customer number … is not linked to this user” | In Mybring > Customer numbers and rights, give the user access to that customer number, or enter one of the numbers the test lists. |
| Bring methods are missing at the checkout | Check that the connection is complete and not paused, that the delivery country is in the method’s destination countries, that the parcel is not heavier than the method’s limit, and that the license is valid. The log (action “rates”) shows Bring’s answer. |
| The method shows your own price instead of the Bring price | Bring returned no price (for example, no financial right on the customer number, or a route the service does not cover), or the answer’s currency (NOK, SEK, DKK, EUR) is not in Administration > Currencies. |
| Agreement prices look like list prices | Without the financial right on the customer number Bring refuses agreement prices; the add-on then shows the list price and logs a warning (action “rates”). Give the Mybring user the financial right. |
| “Bring refused the booking: BOOK-…” | Bring’s error code and text are shown as returned, for example BOOK-INPUT-124 “Customer not found” or a missing right (BOOK-AUTHORIZATION-001). Fix the data and book again. |
| “Enter the sender phone number” | Bring requires a sender phone for outgoing services. Add it on the Connection page. |
| A booking stays “Result unknown” | Bring did not answer. The add-on looks the reference up every 10 minutes and never books twice by itself. Use Look up at Bring; Book again appears after 30 minutes if nothing is found. |
| No label after a lookup | The label link exists only in Bring’s booking answer. Print the label from the Mybring label archive. |
| Pickup point list says “not available” | The delivery country must be Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland, and the postal code must be numeric. Bring limits the Pickup Point API to 30 requests per second. |
| Tracking does not change | Tracking runs from cron. Check the cron line and the Jobs page. Test bookings are never tracked. |
