Installation and setup

  • CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor or Multi-Vendor Ultimate 4.17.2 or later, administrator access.
  • A Cdiscount seller account (Cdiscount Marketplace, France).
  • Octopia API credentials: a client ID, a client secret and your seller ID.
  • An EAN for every product you want to sell (Cdiscount matches offers to catalogue products by EAN).
  • A cron job (step 10).
  1. Sign in to the Octopia developer portal (developer.octopia-io.net) with your seller account.
  2. Open the API credentials page and create a client ID and client secret. The page also confirms your seller ID.
  3. Complete the seller authentication the portal asks for. If calls are refused with “Forbidden” afterwards, open an API support request in your Octopia seller area so that the seller ID is linked to the credentials.
  1. Download the kv_cdiscount-<version>.zip package from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. Admin panel: Add-ons > Manage add-ons, gear button, Manual installation, upload the archive.
  3. Make sure Cdiscount Marketplace Connector is Active; enter your license key under Settings > License and click Check now.
  1. Open Orders > Cdiscount channel > Connection. Enter the seller ID, choose Test (Seller Sandbox), enter the client ID and client secret and click Save and test. “Connected” confirms that Octopia accepted them. Test mode works on the Octopia Seller Sandbox sales channel (SELLZZ); Production works on Cdiscount (CDISFR) with the same API.
  2. Open Rules: VAT rate (20 % by default), euro rate when your store currency is not the euro, markup and price endings, the product feature that holds the EAN (or keep the product code), condition, preparation time, the delivery modes you offer with their shipping prices, how new orders are accepted, the carrier code sent with tracking numbers and the cancellation reason. Save.
  3. Optional, to create products that are not in the Cdiscount catalogue: give the products a French translation (name and description), map your CS-Cart categories to Cdiscount categories on Categories, map the mandatory properties on Attributes, set a default brand and switch on Create missing products on the Rules page.
  4. On Listings, add products (one by one, with the EAN if it is not in the product, or a whole category) and click Sync now. After a few minutes the Listings page shows each offer as live, or the reason Octopia gave.
  5. Test an order on the Seller Sandbox: the next sync accepts it (when the product is in stock), imports it once it is in preparation; create a shipment with a tracking number on the CS-Cart order and check that the line is shipped at Cdiscount.
  6. Go live: switch the Connection page to Production and click Save and test.
  7. Add the cron job shown under Settings > Cdiscount Marketplace Connector (every 5 minutes is fine; overlapping runs are prevented).

With Marketplace owner mode on (default), the marketplace owner connects one Cdiscount account and lists any product; vendors see nothing of the channel. With it off, each vendor opens Cdiscount channel > Connection in the vendor panel and connects their own Cdiscount seller account; vendors only see and list their own products and orders, and cannot run the shared queue.

Upgrade by uploading the new package over the installed add-on (never “the safe way”, which reinstalls from scratch). On uninstall the links between Cdiscount orders and CS-Cart orders, between products and Cdiscount offers, the connection, the rules and the settings are kept unless you tick “Permanently delete Cdiscount order and offer links on uninstall” in the add-on settings first; a reinstall continues where it stopped and never imports an order or reports a shipment twice.
