Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (CS-Cart Ultimate and Multi-Vendor Ultimate included).
- PHP 7.4 – 8.3 with the cURL, JSON and mbstring extensions (zlib for PDF documents).
- An account with an OpenAI-compatible AI service, or your own model server. The service needs a chat model and an embeddings model (they can come from two different services).
- A cron job is recommended to keep the knowledge base current (see Configuration).
Install
Section titled “Install”- In the admin panel go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click + (Upload & install add-on) and choose
kv_ai_shopping_assistant-1.0.0.zip. - Enter your license key: Add-ons → Manage add-ons → AI Shopping Assistant → Settings → License (or enter the CS-Cart Marketplace license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons).
- Open Marketing → AI shopping assistant → AI service and connect your service (see Configuration). Use Test connection.
- Open Knowledge base and press Sync now. The first sync embeds your whole catalogue; later syncs only process what changed.
- Ask a test question on the Overview page (Try the assistant), then open your storefront: the chat button sits in the bottom corner.
The add-on creates its own tables (cscart_kv_aisa_*) and changes no core file.
Upgrade
Section titled “Upgrade”Upload the new version over the installed one in Add-ons → Manage add-ons or install the Upgrade Center package. The add-on applies new tables, settings and texts on the first admin page you open afterwards, and keeps your settings, knowledge base and conversations.
Uninstall
Section titled “Uninstall”Add-ons → Manage add-ons → AI Shopping Assistant → Uninstall removes the tables (knowledge base, FAQ entries, documents, conversations, usage), the settings and the texts. Your AI provider account is not touched.
