Installation and setup

  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later.
  • Administrator access to the store’s admin panel.
  • An eBay seller account that is opted in to business policies (Seller Hub > Account > Business policies) and has at least one fulfillment (shipping), one payment and one return policy for the marketplace you sell on.
  • Your own eBay developer account (free) with an application keyset. Create it at developer.ebay.com: you get an App ID (client ID) and a Cert ID (client secret) for the Sandbox and, after the keyset is enabled, for Production.
  • A RuName (redirect URL name) for each keyset: in the developer account open User Tokens for the keyset, create a RuName and enter the address shown on this add-on’s Connection page as its auth accepted URL.
  • A cron job on your server (see step 8).
  1. Download the kv_ebay-<version>.zip package from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.
  4. Find eBay Marketplace Connector in the list and make sure its status is Active.
  5. Enter your license key under Settings > License (Kavio Labs downloads) and click Check now.
  1. Open Orders > eBay (the add-on page) and the Connection tab.
  2. Choose Test mode (the eBay Sandbox) and enter the Sandbox App ID and Cert ID, the Sandbox RuName and your marketplace. Save.
  3. Copy the address shown under eBay authorization into the RuName’s auth accepted URL in your developer account (once per RuName).
  4. Press Connect to eBay. eBay asks you to sign in and to grant the application access to inventory, orders and account settings; after you agree you are sent back to the add-on. The add-on keeps the authorization (refresh token, valid for about 18 months) and renews the short access token itself.
  5. Press Test connection: a green message names the marketplace and your seller status.
  6. Enter the fulfillment, payment and return policy IDs of your eBay account (press Show my policies to list them) and the inventory location key. If you have no warehouse location yet, fill the address fields and press Create location.
  7. Switch to Live mode only after a successful test and repeat steps 2 to 6 with the Production keyset and RuName.
  8. Add the cron job from the settings page (Cron section), every minute is fine. Overlapping runs are prevented.

By default the marketplace owner connects one account for all vendors (Marketplace owner mode on). Switch it off to let each vendor connect their own eBay account and keyset in the vendor panel (Connection tab). Each vendor then needs their own RuName with the vendor panel’s address.

  1. Upload the new package the same way. Your settings, credentials and data are kept.
  2. The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first request after the update.

See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.

Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables and database tables, including the stored credentials and tokens. Listings you created on eBay stay on eBay.
