Usage

  1. At checkout the customer chooses Mercado Pago and places the order.
  2. The store sends the customer to the Mercado Pago page (Checkout Pro). There they pay with a saved method, a card (with installments where offered), account money, or a local method: Pix, boleto, OXXO and other cash vouchers, bank transfer.
  3. Card approved: Mercado Pago returns the customer to the store within seconds and the order page shows the paid order.
  4. Voucher or Pix code: the customer returns to the order page with a notice and a link to the voucher. The cart is empty (no second payment by mistake) and the order is Open. When the customer pays the voucher, Mercado Pago notifies the store and the order is marked paid, even days later.
  5. Card rejected: the customer can try another method on the same Mercado Pago page. If they give up, their cart is back in the store.

The Mercado Pago tab of an order shows:

  • the Checkout Pro preference and every Mercado Pago payment behind it (id, method, status, amount, refunded), with the voucher link while a voucher is pending;
  • a note when money arrived that does not match the order (a second payment of an already paid order, a different amount or currency, or an order total that was edited while the payment was pending). The order is then not marked paid; refund the payment or adjust the order;
  • the refund form: leave the amount empty to refund everything that is left, or enter part of it. A payment made with two methods is refunded over both;
  • Cancel pending payment while a voucher or Pix code is unpaid;
  • Check status now to read the payment back from Mercado Pago at once.
  • Orders > Mercado Pago: all transactions with filters.
  • Jobs: notifications, status checks, refunds and cancellations with their attempts; retry or remove a job.
  • Log: every call and event (secrets masked), filters and CSV export.
