Scheduled Supplier Feed Import
Add-on ID: kv_scheduled_feed_import · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view
Scheduled Supplier Feed Import keeps your catalog in sync with your suppliers. Point it at a supplier feed (CSV, XML or JSON from a URL, FTP, SFTP or an uploaded file), map the feed fields to your product fields once, add your price and stock rules, and let it create and update products on a schedule. Every run is logged with its counters and a row-by-row log, and a dry-run preview shows what will happen before anything is saved. CS-Cart’s own import is manual; this add-on runs on its own.
- Sources: HTTP and HTTPS URLs (with optional basic authentication), FTP/FTPS, SFTP, a file on your server and manual upload. gzip-compressed feeds are unpacked automatically.
- Formats: CSV with delimiter and encoding detection, XML with a product element path and XPath field paths (
price,@id,images/image,param[@name="Color"]), JSON with dot paths (data.products,price.amount). - Field mapping: product code (the match key), name, price, list price, quantity, status, category, brand, short and full description, main and additional image URLs, weight and any number of product features. Every field can also take a fixed value. Load the fields from the feed with one click; save the setup as a preset for the next feed.
- Categories: feed category paths (
Parent > Child) are found or created, or sent to a store category through a category mapping table. A default category catches the rest. - Rules: price markup by price range and category (percent or fixed amount), list price from the feed price, rounding to cents, whole numbers, .99, .95 or .90, a stock threshold and cap, and value replacements (for example “in stock” to 10).
- Update modes: create and update, or update only (for example only price and quantity); skip unchanged rows; products that left the feed are disabled, hidden, set to zero stock or left alone, with a safety limit against broken feeds.
- Scheduling: an interval per feed and one cron job for all feeds. Large feeds are imported in short steps that continue across cron calls, and a lock prevents two runs of the same feed.
- Logging: run history with created, updated, unchanged, skipped, error and missing counts, and a row log with the product code and the reason.
- Multi-Vendor: vendors manage their own feeds, which only touch their own products (can be switched off). CS-Cart Ultimate: feeds belong to a storefront.
- Safe by design: every product is saved through the standard CS-Cart product update, so SEO names, premoderation, vendor plan limits, other add-ons and caches stay in sync. Feed URLs that point to your own server or private network are refused, downloads have size and time limits, and XML feeds cannot load external entities.
