Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → SEO Filter Landing Pages → Settings. On CS-Cart (Ultimate) the settings can differ per storefront.
General
Section titled “General”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Enable landing pages on the storefront | On | Off: landing page URLs redirect (301) to the filtered category pages and nothing else changes on the storefront. |
URLs and redirects
Section titled “URLs and redirects”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| When a shopper opens a filtered category URL that matches a landing page | Redirect to the page (301) | Redirect: a normal page view of /camcorders/?features_hash=… with exactly the page’s filters is redirected to the landing page; sorting and paging parameters are kept. Canonical link: the filtered URL stays, can be indexed and its canonical link points to the landing page. Do nothing: filtered URLs keep the core behaviour (noindex). Filter clicks that reload the product list with AJAX are never redirected: the list shows the landing content and the browser address changes to the landing page URL. |
| Write filtered category links as landing page URLs | On | Every link the store builds to a category with a page’s filter combination (pagination, sorting, menus, other add-ons) uses the landing page URL. |
Page content
Section titled “Page content”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Also show the category description on landing pages | Off | Off: the landing page shows its own intro text instead (no duplicate text). |
| Add the landing page to the breadcrumbs | On | Home › … › Camcorders › Samsung Camcorders. On 4.21 the core breadcrumb markup (JSON-LD) includes it too. |
| Meta title when a page has none | {h1}[ | {store}] |
Template for pages without their own meta title. |
| Meta description when a page has none | Shop {h1}[ at {store}].[ {count} products to choose from.] |
Template for pages without their own meta description. Empty: the start of the intro text. |
Template variables: {h1}, {category}, {filters} (all selected values), {store}, {count} (products on the page) and {feature:Brand} (the selected values of a filter, by its name). {a|b|"text"} takes the first non-empty value; text in [square brackets] is left out when a variable inside it is empty. This is the same syntax as in SEO Meta Templates.
“Popular searches” links and sitemap
Section titled ““Popular searches” links and sitemap”| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Show the links on category pages | Below the products | Above the products, below the products or not at all. On a landing page the block lists the other pages. |
| Pages linked from a category | This category and its subcategories | Or only the pages of the category itself. |
| Maximum number of links | 12 | 1 – 50. Pages are ordered by their position, then by H1. |
| Add landing pages to the sitemap | On | Active, indexable pages with Include in the sitemap are written to the sitemap of the core Google sitemap add-on, with the category frequency and priority and hreflang alternates per language. Regenerate the sitemap after adding pages. |
License
Section titled “License”On the License tab enter your Kavio Labs license key (or leave it empty if you entered the CS-Cart Marketplace license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons) and click Check now. The License card at the top of the add-on page shows the status, the licensed domain and the storefronts it covers.
Without a valid license, landing page URLs redirect to the normal filtered category pages, so no link breaks; their texts, meta data, canonical and index rules, the “Popular searches” links and the sitemap entries are switched off. The admin pages keep working.
