General

Setting	Default	Description
Enable	On	Off: no rates and no new labels; tracking of existing shipments goes on.
Marketplace owner mode	On	Multi-Vendor only. On: one DHL account for all vendors, vendors view only. Off: each vendor connects their own account.
Fallback shipping rate	empty	Shown for the DHL methods while the connection is not set up or DHL does not answer. Empty = hide the methods.
Same-day shipping until (hour)	15:00	Later orders and weekend orders are rated and labelled for the next working day (clock of the ship-from country).
Insure shipments for the order value	Off	Adds DHL Shipment Insurance (II) to rates and labels.
Unit of the product box sizes	cm	CS-Cart stores box sizes without a unit; DHL receives centimetres.
Default box length / width / height	30 / 20 / 10	For products without box sizes (MyDHL needs the size of every piece).
Debug log	Off	Stores label, pickup and tracking calls (masked). Rate and landed cost answers are never stored.
Log retention (days)	90	Older log entries are removed by cron.

Labels

Setting	Default	Description
Label format	PDF	PDF (A4 page with the label) or ZPL for thermal printers. With ZPL the commercial invoice is not printed by the add-on; DHL still gets the customs data.
Thermal label size (ZPL)	8 x 4 inch	8 x 4 or 6 x 4 inch.
Create the label when the order status becomes	empty	Empty = labels by hand on the order page.
Also create a CS-Cart shipment	On	The waybill appears on the customer’s order page and in notifications, linked to DHL tracking.
Contents description	empty	Printed on the waybill (70 Latin characters). Empty = the product names.
Let DHL e-mail the customer	Off	Sends the customer’s e-mail to DHL for shipment notifications; switch on only if your privacy notice covers it.

Customs

Setting	Default	Description
Incoterm	DAP	DAP: the customer pays duties and taxes. DDP: you pay (adds Duty Tax Paid and bills the duties account of the connection, when set).
Export reason	Sale	Printed on the commercial invoice.
Default HS code	empty	For products without their own HS code.
Default country of origin	empty	Two letters; empty = the ship-from country.
Paperless Trade	Off	DHL receives the invoice electronically (service WY).
Ship with a paper invoice where Paperless Trade is not available	On	Sends DHL’s documented bypassPLTError option.

HS codes and countries of origin per product are read from the Kavio Labs Cross-Border Duties add-on when it is installed.

Pickups

Setting	Default	Description
Book a courier pickup with every label	Off	Can also be ticked per label on the order page.
Parcels ready from / Location closes at	10:00 / 18:00	Pickup window.
Pickup location	empty	For example “reception”.

Connection page

Field	Description
Mode	Test (DHL test environment, 500 calls a day) or Live.
DHL Express account number	Your shipper account (up to 12 characters).
Duties and taxes account	Optional, billed for DDP duties.
MyDHL API user name / password	Issued by DHL Express, per mode. The password is stored encrypted and never shown again.
Ship-from address, VAT, EORI	Printed on labels and used for rates and pickups. Empty fields use the company address.

In CS-Cart with several storefronts each storefront can have its own account; storefronts without one use the default account.

Shipping method (Configure tab)

Field	Description
Handling fee (fixed) / (%)	Your own surcharge for packing and handling, added to the price the customer pays (percent first, then the fixed amount). DHL’s quote itself is not changed or stored; the MyDHL terms forbid modifying or storing rating data, so you are responsible for how you present your own surcharge.
Show the estimated delivery date	DHL’s estimate next to the method at checkout.
