CS-Cart shows what you sell but not what you earn. Product Cost & Profit Reports adds a cost price to every product and turns your orders into profit figures: gross profit and margin per order, product, category, period, vendor and storefront. The cost of each order is frozen when the order is placed, so later changes to a cost price never rewrite your history.
- Cost price field on the product page (also for product variations, which are products of their own), with the margin at the current price.
- Product list: a Cost column with inline editing, a margin badge and a red highlight below your low-margin threshold; the cost can also be set in bulk edit.
- Import and export: the product export and the Advanced import offer a Cost price column.
- Order cost snapshot: every order keeps the cost of its items at the time it was placed. Orders from before the installation can get an estimated snapshot.
- Order profit panel: revenue, cost of goods, shipping, payment fee, fixed cost, marketplace commission, gross profit and margin on the order page; edit the real shipping cost and an extra cost per order.
- Orders list: a Gross profit column with the margin.
- Profit reports: by period (day, week or month), product, category, vendor (Multi-Vendor) and storefront (Ultimate), with date filter, totals and CSV export.
- Tools: create snapshots for old orders and fill missing cost prices as a percentage of the price.
- Returns: accepted RMA returns reduce revenue and cost of goods (optional, needs the RMA add-on).
- Multi-Vendor: vendors see the costs and profit of their own products and orders only; you decide whether they may edit costs. The marketplace commission is subtracted from the profit.
- No storefront output: customers see nothing, and the add-on is safe with full page cache.
