I see both my “Sale” badge and the theme’s “Save X%” label. Set Theme’s own product labels to Hide the discount label, or to Hide all theme labels (see Configuration).
A badge does not appear on a product. Check these in order:
- The badge status is Active, and the schedule is Always or Running in the list.
- Show in includes the place you are looking at.
- The product matches the rules. With All enabled rules, every enabled rule must match. Use the product’s Labels tab to see which badges match its rules.
- Maximum badges per product is not reached. Badges are checked in order of their position number.
- The text uses no placeholder that is empty for this product. For example,
{discount}on a product without a discount skips the badge. - In Multi-Vendor, a vendor badge only shows on that vendor’s products, and only while vendors are allowed to create badges.
The discount badge shows a different percentage than I expected.
{discount} and the Discount rule use the larger of the catalog promotion discount and the list price discount, the same numbers CS-Cart uses for its “Save X%” label. Promotions for customer groups apply to customers in those groups only.
The bestseller badge does not update immediately after an order. Sales are cached for the time set in Refresh bestseller sales every (1 hour by default). Only orders whose status decreases inventory are counted.
Do badges slow down category pages? No. Badge definitions come from the cache. A product list adds at most four small indexed queries, and only for rule types you use. No extra HTTP requests are made: styles go into the theme’s CSS bundle and icons are inline SVG.
Will cached product blocks show outdated badges? No. Product blocks are re-rendered when badges change and when a scheduled badge starts or ends.
Can I use my own sticker images? Yes. Choose Graphic (uploaded image) on the Appearance tab and upload a PNG or WebP with a transparent background.
Does it work with my theme? It works with Responsive, Bright and child themes of Responsive, including heavily restyled ones. Badges are printed where the theme prints its own product labels. For themes that changed the product list templates, see “Custom themes” in the developer guide.
Are badges shown in the compact list view? No. Compact lists use very small thumbnails, so the overlay is hidden there.
Can vendors put badges on other vendors’ products? No. Vendor badges only apply to the vendor’s own products, both when assigned and when shown.
What happens on uninstall? All badges, texts, assignments, badge images, settings and language variables are removed. Product data is not touched.
The badges disappeared and the admin panel shows a license notice. Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Product Labels & Stickers Pro. The License card at the top of the add-on page says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Enter or change the key on the License tab and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.example.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.
What happens if your license server is down? Nothing visible: the add-on keeps the last verified result and keeps working for 14 days while it retries. The admin panel shows a notice from the first failed check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront? No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront only reads the stored result.
