How it works
Section titled “How it works”When a shopper’s delivery address is in a state with a rate in force, the cart gets one fee line per delivery. The fee is part of the order total, is stored with the order, and appears as its own labelled line in the cart totals, at checkout, on the order page, in order e-mails and on the invoice.
For shoppers whose state is known (from the cart address or an earlier visit), product pages, category pages and the cart show a line such as “55.31 all-in, incl. 0.31 Colorado retail delivery fee”. The call that finds the state runs after the page loads, so the page itself stays identical for everyone and works with the full page cache.

Section titled “Add a state or change a rate”- Open Orders → US fees & all-in pricing.
- In the empty last row choose the state, enter the label, fee, minimum and the start date.

- Read the deliveries, taxable goods and fees to report. Fees struck by cancellations are listed separately and are not part of the amount due.
- Export the CSV for your records. Parent orders of split Multi-Vendor orders are left out so nothing is counted twice.
Check for hidden fees
Section titled “Check for hidden fees”Open the Compliance check tab. It lists charged state fees whose all-in display is off, payment methods with a surcharge, and shipping methods whose name looks like a fee. Review each with the rules of the states you ship to.
