Requirements

CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3.
The core Product reviews add-on installed and active. It is installed by default.
PHP GD for the video poster images and for turning rotated phone photos upright. Without GD, videos still work and show a neutral poster.
For video uploads, PHP upload_max_filesize and post_max_size must be at least your video size limit. The settings page shows the limit that applies on your server.

Install

Go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the + button (Upload & install add-on) and choose the add-on archive.
Open the add-on, go to the License tab and enter your license key, or the CS-Cart Marketplace license number. Click Save.
Review the settings on the General, Questions & answers and Review rewards tabs (see Configuration).

The installation adds two product tabs: Photos & videos and Questions & answers. You can rename, reorder or hide them in Design → Layouts → Product tabs. The Photos & videos tab hides itself on products that have no customer photos or videos.

It also adds the menu item Products → Questions & review videos (admin panel and Multi-Vendor vendor panel).

Cron (recommended for rewards)

Expired reward coupons are withdrawn from their promotion when an administrator opens the add-on’s pages. To do it on time even when nobody logs in, add a daily cron job:

php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_photo_video_reviews.cron

Uninstall

Uninstalling removes the add-on’s tables (questions, answers, votes, video records, rewards), its settings, texts, e-mail templates, product tabs and the stored video files. Unused reward coupons are withdrawn from their promotion. Core reviews, their photos and the promotions themselves stay.

Updating

Upload the new version in Add-ons → Manage add-ons or install the Upgrade Center package. The add-on adds missing tables, settings and texts on the next admin page view, and keeps your data and settings.
