FAQ

Do I need special product fields for metals, stones and hallmarks? No. Mono reads metals, stones, occasions, purity, maker, carat weight and collection from standard product features and ring sizes from a normal product option. You edit them on the product page or in the product import. See Usage.

A card shows no hallmark stamp. Fill the Purity feature (for example 18k (750)) or use a metal name with a karat or “sterling”. Steel and other non-precious metals have no stamp on purpose. Check that Hallmark stamps and trust badges is on.

The Size guide link is missing on a ring. The ring needs a product option named Ring size (or Size with the product in a ring category), and the setting Ring size guide must be on. Very old browsers without dialog support do not show the link.

Can shoppers enter an engraving text? Yes: add a product option of the type Text named Engraving. Mono previews the text on a gold band and counts the characters. The text travels with the order like any option value.

My product photos have a white background. Do they work? Yes. Product images stand in a softly lit well; photos with a white background show as a framed picture. Cut-out images (transparent background) look best, especially for the hover zoom.

The zoom does not appear. It works on computers with a mouse and needs a detailed image larger than the shown one (the image you upload). Phones and tablets use the swipe gallery instead. Check that Hover zoom on product images is on. If the bundled Image zoom add-on is active, its own zoom window appears next to the image instead.

Does Mono work with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21? Yes. Theme output holds only catalogue data; the zoom, the size guide, the engraving preview and the set totals run in the shopper’s browser, and bag and wish list counters come from the standard blocks.

Complete the set does not appear. The piece needs a Collection feature value shared by pieces in other categories. Stores running the Kavio Frequently Bought Together add-on see that add-on’s block instead.

What happens when the licence expires? The storefront shows the standard Responsive look; your store keeps selling. See Configuration.

Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
