FAQ
Which Mondial Relay interfaces does the add-on use? The two web services of Mondial Relay: API 2, the shipment web service (“WEB SERVICE DUAL CARRIER V-2.7.1”, REST with XML) for shipments and labels, and API 1 (“WEB SERVICE V-5.14”, SOAP) for the Point Relais search and for tracking. The picker at the checkout is the Mondial Relay widget (WIDGET V4.1). See Conformance.
Does the add-on use the shipment creation of API 1? No. Mondial Relay stopped those methods (V-5.11) and blocks accounts created from 23 December 2024 for them. Labels are created with API 2.
Which countries and products can I use? The countries of the Mondial Relay network that your contract covers. The add-on offers Point Relais (24R), Point Relais XL (24L) and Home delivery (HOM). Home delivery is contract-dependent: Mondial Relay lists it as not available with API 1 and available with the dual carrier web service. The D+1 service (XOH) is not offered because it needs an additional EDI file. Italy, Poland and United Kingdom flows are not covered.
What do I need from Mondial Relay?
A contract with web service access. In Connect you get the API 2 login, password and customer id, and the API 1 brand and private key. For first tests the public API 1 test account is brand BDTEST13, private key TestAPI1key.
Is cash on delivery supported? No. Mondial Relay ended it (V-5.9, V-2.7.1 “End of COD”). Mark your cash on delivery payment method in the settings: those orders are refused with a clear message.
Can I cancel a label? The web services have no cancel operation. The add-on removes the label in your store; Mondial Relay is not told and the shipment still exists there. Contact Mondial Relay if the parcel was already handed over.
Where do the shipping prices come from? From you. The web services have no price operation, so each shipping method has your own price or weight table and countries.
What if a label request times out? The add-on does not repeat it, because a second request could create a second shipment and there is no lookup or cancel. The order tab shows Result unknown: look in Mondial Relay Connect, then adopt the 8-digit shipment number or confirm that nothing was created. See Usage.
What does the add-on send about my customers? Name, address and the order reference. The e-mail address and phone number are not sent for Point Relais deliveries unless you turn on “Send e-mail address and mobile number to Mondial Relay”. Home delivery always sends the phone number because Mondial Relay makes it mandatory. Nothing is sent to anyone else. The picker loads scripts and map tiles from third-party servers (Mondial Relay, unpkg.com, OpenStreetMap) when the customer opens it.
Why are accents missing on the label? The patterns in Mondial Relay’s document accept only ASCII letters, digits and a few signs. The add-on writes “Elysee” for the accented spelling and cuts names and addresses at the documented lengths (30 characters for name, street with number, city and address lines).
How often is tracking read? About every 5 hours for open shipments, every 12 hours for shipments with a problem, never for delivered ones. Mondial Relay asks for at most 4 to 6 queries per shipment and day and no batch use.
Do I need a webhook? No. The web services used here have no push notifications; tracking is read by cron.
What happens if Mondial Relay is down? Failed jobs are retried after 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours and 12 hours, except label requests with an unknown result. Rates never call Mondial Relay, so the checkout keeps working; only the picker needs Mondial Relay’s servers.
Where are credentials stored? Encrypted in your database (AES-256-GCM). Secrets are never shown again and never written to the log.
Is it safe with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21? Yes. The picker is printed only inside the checkout and the widget is loaded by JavaScript when the customer opens it; the choice is saved with an AJAX POST.
Does it work with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor, and which versions? Yes, 4.17.2 to 4.21.x, Ultimate and Multi-Vendor editions. In Multi-Vendor the marketplace owner can use one Mondial Relay account for everyone or let each vendor connect their own.
Does it send data to Kavio Labs? No, apart from the daily license check (your domain name and the add-on version).
What happens when the license expires? New work stops (no new rates, labels or automatic creation). Existing labels and tracking stay available.

My license shows “Pending verification”
Section titled “My license shows “Pending verification””This status appears in older add-on versions when you use a CS-Cart Marketplace license number that our license server has not matched with the Marketplace yet. The add-on is fully working in this state: no feature is switched off and you do not need to do anything. Newer versions show it as Active (Marketplace license). We confirm Marketplace numbers on our side; click Check now on the add-on’s License tab (Add-ons → Manage add-ons → the add-on) a little later and it shows Active. If it has not changed after 24 hours, contact support with your Marketplace order number.
