FAQ
How is Pulse different from Atlas?
Section titled “How is Pulse different from Atlas?”Atlas is a calm department-store layout for large catalogues (department list beside the hero, department colours). Pulse is built for selling through campaigns: flash bar, bento hero with a live deal tile, dark flash-deals zone with big countdowns, sticker discounts, a product page campaign strip and promo cells inside the product grids.
Where do the countdowns come from?
Section titled “Where do the countdowns come from?”From your catalog promotions with an end date (Marketing → Promotions). The flash bar shows the promotion that ends first; cards and the product page show the promotion of that product. No end date, no timer: Pulse never shows invented countdowns.
Why does the flash bar not show?
Section titled “Why does the flash bar not show?”No catalog promotion with an end date is running. Add an end date to a promotion, or disable the Pulse flash bar block if you do not run campaigns.
Where do the colour dots on the cards come from?
Section titled “Where do the colour dots on the cards come from?”From variation groups (Product variations add-on): each variation with a colour feature becomes a dot.
Does Pulse work with my add-ons?
Section titled “Does Pulse work with my add-ons?”Yes. Pulse is a child of the standard Responsive theme and does not override product, cart or checkout templates, so add-on hooks keep working. Buttons of other add-ons on the product page get the Pulse pill style.
Does it work on CS-Cart and on Multi-Vendor?
Section titled “Does it work on CS-Cart and on Multi-Vendor?”Yes, one package for both. On Multi-Vendor it adds the seller line on cards and the shop cards block on the homepage.
What happens without a licence?
Section titled “What happens without a licence?”A new installation works for 14 days. After that, without a valid licence, the storefront shows the standard Responsive look; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message. The admin panel tells you why and how to fix it. See Configuration.
Does the theme work on my staging copy?
Section titled “Does the theme work on my staging copy?”Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by the same licence.
Will an update overwrite my changes?
Section titled “Will an update overwrite my changes?”No. Files you changed are kept (a notice lists them), and layouts and blocks are never replaced.
