Does the add-on change my products?
Section titled “Does the add-on change my products?”Only when you use a bulk fix, and then only empty fields (meta title, meta description, SEO name, image alt text). Scans and re-checks only read your catalog and write to the add-on’s own tables.
Every product has issues. Is that normal?
Section titled “Every product has issues. Is that normal?”Often, yes, on the first scan: rules such as missing alt texts, a missing weight or a missing GTIN hit most catalogs. Switch off what does not matter for your store (for example the GTIN rule without a product feed, or the weight rule when you ship by flat rate) on the Rules tab, and ignore single issues you accept. The score then shows what is really left.
How long does a scan take?
Section titled “How long does a scan take?”A few hundred products take seconds; tens of thousands take minutes and are split into batches. Scan now continues where it stopped if you leave the page, and the cron continues a scan that is still running.
Does it slow down saving products or checkout?
Section titled “Does it slow down saving products or checkout?”No. A saved product is re-checked at the end of the request (a few milliseconds); bulk saves check 25 products and queue the rest. Stock changes during checkout are only queued for the cron.
Why are meta titles and descriptions not checked?
Section titled “Why are meta titles and descriptions not checked?”When the SEO Meta Templates add-on is active, it fills empty meta on the storefront, so these rules are skipped by default. Switch off Skip while SEO Meta Templates is active on the Rules tab to check the stored fields anyway.
Where does the GTIN come from?
Section titled “Where does the GTIN come from?”By default (Auto) from a product feature named GTIN, EAN, UPC, ISBN, JAN or Barcode, the same names Product Feed Pro for Google Merchant Center uses. You can choose another feature or the product code. The rule runs only while a product feed add-on is active, unless you switch that option off.
Can vendors see other vendors’ products?
Section titled “Can vendors see other vendors’ products?”No. Vendors see only their own products, the vendor filter is not available to them, and every change checks that the product belongs to the vendor.
Can I stop vendors from activating poor products?
Section titled “Can I stop vendors from activating poor products?”Yes: set Minimum score to activate a product in the add-on settings (Multi-Vendor). Vendors then cannot set a product with a lower score to Active. Administrators are never blocked.
What happens if the license lapses?
Section titled “What happens if the license lapses?”Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), scans, automatic re-checks, bulk fixes, the weekly digest and the minimum score for vendors stop. The dashboard, the issue list, ignoring issues and the CSV export keep showing the last results. Your products are never affected. Once the license is valid again, everything is back.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Section titled “The admin panel shows a license notice.”Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Catalog Quality Audit: the License card at the top says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it on the License tab and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Section titled “Does the add-on work on my staging copy?”Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.example.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.
What happens if your license server is down?
Section titled “What happens if your license server is down?”Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries every hour. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”No. The check runs only in the admin panel or from cron, at most once a day, never while customers browse or check out. The add-on itself has no storefront part at all.
Still stuck?
Section titled “Still stuck?”Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
