Advanced Product Options & Price Formulas adds what the core product options cannot do: prices calculated from what the customer enters (width × height, length, number of characters, uploaded files, quantity), one-time setup fees, number limits and options that appear only when another option has a certain value. The price updates on the product page while the customer types, and the cart, the order, the invoice and the order e-mails keep a clear breakdown of every amount.
- Price formulas: give options a short code (for example
width) and write formulas such aswidth * height / 10000 * 25. Select and radio variants carry their own formula value (a material rate), so one formula serves every variant. A product formula can be added to the price or replace the base price. - Ready-made price rules: a price per character, word, line or uploaded file, with free units, without writing a formula.
- One-time fees: setup, artwork or cutting fees charged once per cart line, never multiplied by the quantity, shown as their own total line and taxed with the product’s tax classes.
- Number inputs: minimum, maximum, step, default value and unit (cm, m, in), checked on the product page and again on the server.
- Text limits: maximum characters (with a live counter) and maximum lines.
- Conditional options: show an option only when other options have certain values (all or any conditions); hidden options are not priced, not required and not saved with the order.
- Live price and breakdown: base price, option prices, formula amounts, minimum price, one-time fees and the total for the chosen quantity, updated without reloading the page.
- Exact totals: cart, checkout, orders, invoices and e-mails show the same amounts; placed orders keep their prices even when you change the rules later.
- Rule editor with test calculator: a formula check that points to typos, and a calculator on the product page in the admin panel that shows the price, the breakdown, hidden options and validation messages for any values you enter.
- Safe by design: formulas are read by the add-on’s own parser with a fixed list of operators and functions; they can never run code.
- Global options, Multi-Vendor, product currency: rules work for global options too, vendors can edit their own rules if you allow it, and products priced in another currency (with our Product Price in Any Currency add-on) use formulas in that currency.
