  • CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor or Multi-Vendor Ultimate 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
  • For the hero slider and the promo banners, the core Banners add-on; for the journal, Blog; for customer reviews, Comments and reviews; for product ratings, Product reviews; for the newsletter, Newsletters; for the heart on cards, Wish list.
  • Optional: the Kavio Delivery Date & Time Slots and Gift Wrap & Messages add-ons (Petal works without them).
  • Administrator access to the admin panel.
  1. Download kv_theme_petal-<version>.zip from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button, choose Manual installation and upload the archive. The add-on Petal theme installs the Petal theme files. It does not change your storefront.
  3. Enter your licence key: Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Petal theme → Settings → License (see Configuration).
  4. Open Website → Themes, find Petal and click Activate. CS-Cart asks whether to apply the theme’s recommended settings (portrait 4:5 product images without a background colour, the thumbnails gallery in product lists for the second image on hover, quick view, 12 products per page, sorting by popularity); accept them for the intended look.
  5. Open any admin page once: Petal adds its demo content (Stem & Sundry: six departments with 12 subcategories, seven occasions and a Same-day category, 52 products (bouquets, roses, vase arrangements, sympathy flowers, plants, gift boxes, hampers, chocolates, balloons, cards and vases) with earliest delivery, occasion, colour, flower, stems, vase life, height, light, pet-friendly and florist’s note features, product filters, Size, Vase and Pot options, reviews, a “Weekend bouquets” promotion with a real end date, three hero slides and two promo banners, four journal posts, customer reviews and a main menu; on Multi-Vendor four demo shops with reviews) and points the homepage blocks at it. A notice confirms it. Turn the setting Install the demo content when the theme is activated off before step 4 to start with an empty design.
  6. Choose a style: Peony, Meadow, Lilac or Nocturne.
  7. Set your same-day cut-off and delivery days in Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Petal theme → Settings → Petal, and check the store time zone in Settings → Appearance.

The theme brings its own layout (top bar with the countdown, header with account, wish list and basket, menu band, date bar, homepage sections with occasion tags and the gift band, the date filter line and an in-grid tile on category pages, “Add a little extra” and related products on product pages, footer brand column). Layouts of your other themes stay untouched; switching back to your previous theme brings them back.

Upload the new package the same way (Manual installation over the installed add-on), or install the upgrade package in Administration → Upgrade center. Then open any admin page once: the add-on updates the installed theme files. Files you changed yourself (for example a style edited in the Theme editor) are kept, and a notice lists them. Your layouts and blocks are never replaced, and the demo content is never added twice.

  1. Switch every storefront to another theme in Website → Themes.
  2. Uninstall Petal theme in Add-ons → Manage add-ons. The Petal theme files and its layouts are removed. The demo products, categories, features, filters, banners, promotions and posts stay (they are normal items); delete the ones you do not need.

If a storefront still uses Petal when you uninstall the add-on, the theme files are kept and that storefront shows the standard Responsive look until you install the add-on again or switch the theme.
