What the customer sees

Product page card (under the “Add to cart” button):

• 2-year legal guarantee, with “View notice” that opens the official EU notice in a dialog;
• 5-year producer guarantee with the GARAN badge: the full producer label appears on hover (desktop), on keyboard focus and on the first click or tap (the nested display the regulation allows);
• Manufacturer: … with a “Safety info” link to the product tab.

“Product safety” tab: the manufacturer with its postal and e-mail address and website, the EU responsible person (manufacturers outside the EU), the product identification (product code, GTIN, MPN, type or batch), the warnings and safety information in the customer’s language, and the safety document.

Checkout: a “Your legal guarantee” card with the notice before the terms and conditions; it opens full size.

Typical setup

1. Upload the official notice of each language (Guarantee notice tab).
2. Add your manufacturers and link them to your brands; mark a default manufacturer.
3. For products with special warnings, add them on the product’s “Product safety & guarantee” tab.
4. For products whose producer offers a commercial guarantee of durability of more than two years, enter the years and upload the producer’s GARAN label.
5. Check the Setup checklist.

Multi-Vendor

• Vendors open Products > Product safety (GPSR) in the vendor panel: they add and edit their own manufacturers and see the shared ones (read only).
• On their own products they choose the manufacturer, enter identifiers, warnings and the GARAN label.
• A vendor’s default manufacturer applies to that vendor’s products.
• Notice images, brand links and the checklist are managed by the marketplace administrator.

CS-Cart Ultimate

Settings can differ per storefront. Manufacturers created while a storefront is selected belong to that storefront; records created for all storefronts are shared.

Full page cache (CS-Cart 4.21)

The storefront output depends only on the product, the language and the settings, never on the visitor, so pages stay cacheable. Changes in the add-on’s tables refresh the cached product pages.
