Product Videos Gallery

Add-on ID: kv_product_videos · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.2.1 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view

Product Videos Gallery adds product videos to your store. You can attach YouTube, Vimeo and self-hosted MP4/WebM videos to any product. Shoppers see them inside the product image gallery, next to the photos.

  • Several videos per product. Supported sources are YouTube links (watch, youtu.be, Shorts, live and embed links), Vimeo links (including unlisted links with a hash), direct links to MP4, M4V, WebM and OGV files, and uploaded video files.
  • Videos in the image gallery. Video thumbnails with a play icon appear in the thumbnail strip. The video sits in the main image area. You can put videos after the main image, before all images or after all images.
  • Privacy-friendly, click-to-play. The page does not contact YouTube, Vimeo or the video file until the shopper presses play. YouTube uses youtube-nocookie.com, and Vimeo gets the “do not track” flag.
  • Preview images on your own server. When you save a YouTube or Vimeo video, the store copies its title and preview image once and serves the image locally. You can also upload your own preview image.
  • Per-video settings. Each video has a title, a preview image, a position and a status.
  • Optional “Videos” product tab that lists all videos with their titles.
  • Product lists. A video icon marks products that have videos. You can also turn on a muted preview that plays while the mouse is over the product image.
  • Quick view support. You can turn this on or off.
  • SEO. The product page gets schema.org VideoObject JSON-LD for every video.
  • Import and export. A “Videos” column is added to product export, product import and Advanced Products Import, so you can add videos in bulk.
  • Product lifecycle. Cloned products get copies of the videos. Deleting a product deletes its videos, preview images and uploaded files.
  • Multi-Vendor. Vendors can manage videos of their own products in the vendor panel. You can turn this off in the settings.
  • Clean uninstall. The add-on uses its own tables (cscart_kv_product_videos*). Uninstalling removes the tables, settings, language variables, preview images and uploaded files.
