Installation and setup
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later, administrator access.
- An Etsy shop. The person who connects it signs in to Etsy as the shop owner.
- A free Etsy developer app for your shop (below). It gives a keystring and a shared secret.
- An https address for your store: Etsy sends the shop owner back to an https callback URL only.
- A cron job (step 9).
Create your Etsy app
Section titled “Create your Etsy app”- Sign in to Etsy as the shop owner and open https://www.etsy.com/developers.
- Choose Create a seller app (for your own shop; Etsy approves eligible sellers within minutes). Developers who connect shops of other sellers create a Personal App and request Commercial Access instead (Etsy reviews it manually).
- Fill in the app name and description. Follow Etsy’s Trademark Policy: do not put “Etsy” at the start of the app name.
- In the app settings, add the callback URL shown on the add-on’s Connection page, exactly as shown (https, same spelling, no extra slash).
- Copy the keystring and the shared secret from “Your apps”.
Install the add-on
Section titled “Install the add-on”- Download the
kv_etsy-<version>.zippackage from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account. - Admin panel: Add-ons > Manage add-ons, gear button, Manual installation, upload the archive.
- Make sure Etsy Connector is Active; enter your license key under Settings > License and click Check now.
Connect Etsy
Section titled “Connect Etsy”- Open Orders > Etsy channel > Connection. Enter the keystring and the shared secret, click Save and test: the message “Etsy accepted the API key” confirms the app credentials.
- Click Connect Etsy shop. Etsy asks you to sign in and to grant access to listings, shop data and orders. The page you return to says “Etsy is connected” with your shop name. Go back to the Connection page and reload.
- Click Load profiles from Etsy, then choose the shipping profile (required), return policy and processing profile, who made the items and when, and whether new listings are published. Save.
- Map categories (Categories tab), optionally properties (Attributes tab), and set price and stock rules (Rules tab).
- Add products on the Listings tab and click Sync now. Check the drafts on Etsy, then publish them there or switch on “Publish new listings”.
- Add the cron job shown under Settings > Etsy Connector (every 5 minutes is fine; overlapping runs are prevented).
- Optional: in Etsy’s webhook portal add the Webhook URL shown on the Connection page for the events
order.paid,order.canceledandorder.shipped, and paste the signing secret (whsec_...) into the Connection page. Without webhooks orders arrive on the cron schedule.
Multi-Vendor
Section titled “Multi-Vendor”With Marketplace owner mode on (default), the marketplace owner connects one Etsy shop and lists any product. With it off, each vendor opens Etsy channel > Connection in the vendor panel, registers their own Etsy app and connects their own shop; vendors only see and list their own products and orders.
Upgrading and uninstalling
Section titled “Upgrading and uninstalling”Upgrade by uploading the new package over the installed add-on. On uninstall the links between Etsy receipts and CS-Cart orders, between products and Etsy listings, the connection and the settings are kept unless you tick “Permanently delete Etsy order and listing links on uninstall” in the add-on settings first; a reinstall continues where it stopped and never imports an order or creates a listing twice.
