Installation and setup

  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later.
  • Administrator access to the store’s admin panel.
  • A Packeta client account that is approved for creating packets (until onboarding is finished the API answers “The client account is not approved for posting parcels”). In the Packeta client section open Support and note the API key (16 characters) and the API password (the long secret; do not confuse them: the widget uses the key only, the packet API uses the password). Under Senders note the sender indication of the e-shop. If you want money from cash on delivery in another currency, set up the currency conversion and a bank account for it in the client section.
  • Packeta has no sandbox. Testing uses your production account; no charges apply until a packet physically enters the Packeta network. Packeta suggests a dedicated testing sender; the add-on’s Test mode is for that.
  • A cron job on your server (see step 7).
  1. Download the kv_packeta-<version>.zip package from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.
  4. Find Packeta Shipping & Labels in the list and make sure its status is Active.
  5. Enter your license key under Settings > License (Kavio Labs downloads) and click Check now.
  1. Open the add-on settings and click Connection (or Orders > Packeta > Connection).
  2. Enter the API key, the API password and the Sender indication (leave the sender empty only if the account has a single sender). Save and click Test connection: a green message means Packeta accepted the password. The test sends one validation call (packetAttributesValid) with throw-away data; nothing is created.
  3. Optional push tracking: ask the Packeta integration team ([email protected]) to enable webhook subscriptions for the Push tracking URL shown on the page (it must be HTTPS), and enter the signing key they send you in Push tracking signing key. Without it the cron job polls open packets every hour.
  4. Open Administration > Shipping & taxes > Shipping methods, add a method, choose the carrier Packeta and one of the services, and in the Configure tab enter the price, the optional free shipping from amount, the countries (ISO codes, default CZ,SK) and an optional weight limit. Save. (Ultimate: assign the method to the storefront.)
  5. In the add-on settings choose the widget countries, the label format, and, if you take cash on delivery, the COD payment method. For home delivery check the carrier ids per country (defaults from the official carrier list: CZ 106, SK 131, HU 4159, RO 4161).
  6. Place a test order, create its packet and look at the label. Cancel the test packet before it is handed over.
  7. Add the cron job from the settings page (Cron section), every minute is fine. Overlapping runs are prevented.

By default the marketplace owner connects one account for all vendors (Marketplace owner mode on). Switch it off to let each vendor connect their own API key, password and sender in the vendor panel (Connection tab); packets of a vendor’s orders are then created with the vendor’s account. The checkout widget always uses the owner’s API key.

  1. Upload the new package the same way. Your settings, credentials and data are kept.
  2. The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first request after the update.

See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.

Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables, shipping services and their shipping methods, and database tables, including the stored credentials and labels.
