Requirements

CS-Cart or CS-Cart Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3.
Orders: the recommendations come from your orders. A store without enough orders shows popular products of the same category until enough pairs exist (setting).
Recommended: a cron job that rebuilds the data once a day. Without cron the add-on rebuilds after an admin page view when the data is older than the rebuild interval.

Install

In the admin panel go to Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the + (Upload & install add-on) button and upload kv_frequently_bought_together-1.0.0.zip.
The add-on is installed, switched on and builds the recommendations from your orders right away (for very large stores the first build continues with the next cron run or admin page view).
Open a product page on the storefront: the Frequently bought together block appears above the product tabs.
Enter your license key on the License tab of the settings (see License). Without a key the add-on works for 14 days.
Add the cron job shown on the Recommendation data tab, for example:

15 3 * * * php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_frequently_bought_together.cron

If your host has no command-line cron, call the cron URL shown on the same tab once a day.

Optional: create a bundle discount (see Usage).

Upgrading

Upload the new zip over the installed add-on in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (or install the Upgrade Center package). Settings, pins, statistics and the computed pairs are kept. On the next admin page the add-on completes the upgrade by itself (new tables, settings and texts are added).

Uninstalling

Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Frequently Bought Together & Cross-sell → Uninstall removes the add-on’s tables (pairs, pins, statistics, attributed orders), settings and texts. Orders are not touched. Cart promotions that use the Frequently bought together discount bonus stay but no longer give a discount; delete or edit them in Marketing → Promotions.
