Connection page (credentials)

Field	What to enter
Account	Store owner, or (Multi-Vendor, owner mode off) the vendor whose account you edit.
Country of the account	AR, BR, CL, CO, MX, PE or UY. Decides the currency of the checkout: ARS, BRL, CLP, COP, MXN, PEN or UYU.
Mode	Test uses the test credentials (the test seller account of your application); Live the production credentials.
Public key	From Your integrations > your application > Credentials. Not secret, shown again.
Access token	From the same page. Sent as `Authorization: Bearer` with every call. Stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM), never shown again; leave empty to keep it.
Secret signature (webhooks)	From Your integrations > Webhooks > Configure notifications (after you saved the notification address there). Optional, recommended: signed notifications with a wrong signature are refused. Stored encrypted.
Notification address	Shown on the page. It is sent with every payment, so nothing else is required; enter it in Your integrations > Webhooks (event: Payments) to get the secret signature.

Save and test calls Mercado Pago with the Access token and lists the account’s payment methods (for example pix, bolbradesco, visa), which also tells you that the right country is connected.

Payment method settings (Administration > Payment methods > Mercado Pago)

Setting	Effect
Title on the Mercado Pago page	Item title before the order number, e.g. “My Store #1234”.
Card statement text	Up to 13 characters on the buyer’s card statement. Empty: Mercado Pago’s default.
Maximum installments	Highest number of card installments offered (1 to 36). Empty: Mercado Pago’s default.
Hide payment types	Cash vouchers (boleto, OXXO, Rapipago, Efecty …), bank transfer (Pix, PSE …), debit, credit or prepaid cards. Account money is always available.
Days to pay vouchers and Pix	Expiration of offline methods and Pix codes (1 to 30 days; Mercado Pago recommends at least 3). Empty: Mercado Pago’s default.
Instant approval only (binary mode)	Payments are approved or rejected at once; pending and in-review payments are rejected. Simpler for digital goods, may lower approvals.

Add-on settings (Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Mercado Pago Payments > Settings)

Setting	Default	Meaning
Enable	On	Off hides the method and starts no new payments; payments already under way are still finished.
Marketplace owner mode (Multi-Vendor)	On	One account for the whole marketplace. Off: each vendor connects their own account.
Order status when the payment is approved	Processed (P)	Set when the whole amount is paid and still matches the order.
Order status while the payment is pending	Open (O)	A voucher, Pix code or payment under review opens the order (never cancelled). Pick another open status if you prefer.
Order status when the payment could not be started	Failed (F)	Mercado Pago refused to create the checkout (wrong credentials, currency).
Order status when Mercado Pago cancels the payment	Canceled (I)	The buyer or Mercado Pago cancelled it, or a voucher expired unpaid (30 days). Only for orders that were never paid.
Refund in full when the order status becomes	(none)	Queues a full refund of every paid payment of the order when it reaches this status. Pending vouchers of a cancelled order are cancelled at Mercado Pago automatically.
Debug log	Off	Writes the (masked) requests and answers to the log.
Log retention (days)	90	Older log entries are deleted.
Permanently delete all payment records on uninstall	Off	See Installation, Uninstall.

Cron

The settings page shows two ways; use one:

Command line: php /path/to/store/admin.php --dispatch=kv_mercado_pago.cron
Secret web address: https://your-store/index.php?dispatch=kv_mercado_pago.cron&key=...

Every 5 minutes is enough. Overlapping runs are prevented.
