General (add-on settings)
Section titled “General (add-on settings)”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On | Turns the fee lines and all-in labels on or off. Fee records of placed orders and the report stay available. |
| Taxable goods | Products with a tax class | Which goods count towards a fee: only products that have a tax class, or all products. Digital downloads never count. |
| Small retailer exemption | Off | Tick it when your sales in a state are below the state’s exemption. Rates marked “Small retailer exempt” are then not charged. |
| No-fee shipping methods | empty | Comma-separated shipping method IDs for which no fee is added, for example store pickup. |
| Payment surcharge is mandatory | Off | Tick it when every payment method has a surcharge: the lowest absolute surcharge is then added to the all-in price. |
Retail delivery fee rates
Section titled “Retail delivery fee rates”One row per state and effective date.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| State | Two-letter US state of the delivery address (shipping address; billing address if there is none). |
| Label shown to customers | The name of the line in the cart, checkout, order and invoice. |
| Fee | Amount per delivery. |
| Min. taxable goods | The fee applies only when the taxable goods of the delivery reach this amount (Minnesota: 100). |
| Effective from / to | When the rate is in force. Keep the old row and add a new one when a rate changes. |
| Small retailer exempt | Not charged while the exemption setting is on. |
| Strike on cancel | When the order is cancelled, declined or failed, the fee is struck from the filing report. Switch off if your state rule says the fee stays due. |
| Active | Rows that are off are ignored. |
All-in price display by state
Section titled “All-in price display by state”For each state: show all-in prices (on or off) and the date from which they are shown. The list is preloaded with CA, VA, RI, MA, CO, CT, MN and IL and their dates as we understand them; check each date with the state before you rely on it.
Invoice and summary documents
Section titled “Invoice and summary documents”Orders printed or mailed with the old Smarty templates show the fee line automatically. If you use the document templates (Design → Documents), press Add fee row to documents once. The row is inserted after the payment surcharge row of the invoice and the order summary; Remove fee row takes it out again. If you already customised those templates, add the row yourself with {% if kvf.amount %}{{ kvf.label|raw }} {{ kvf.amount|raw }}{% endif %}.
Multi-Vendor
Section titled “Multi-Vendor”The rate table and settings belong to the marketplace. A fee is added once per vendor shipment, so an order with two vendors carries two fees, one on each vendor sub-order. Vendors do not see the add-on’s pages.
License
Section titled “License”The status of your license is shown at the top of the add-on page and of its own pages. See the FAQ for what happens without a valid license.
