B2B Registration & Approval adds a trade account application to your store. Business buyers fill in a dedicated form with their company details, VAT number and documents; you review every application in a queue and approve it into your trade user groups, decline it with a reason or ask for more information. CS-Cart itself only lets customers request a user group with one click, without any business data, documents or checks.
- Trade account form: company name, registration number, VAT / tax ID, business type, website, business address, phone, expected monthly purchases and a message. Every built-in field can be hidden, optional or required.
- Custom fields: add your own questions as text, text area, select box, checkbox or file upload, with labels in every store language.
- Documents: business licence, VAT certificate or other proof of trade, with document types, allowed file types, size and count limits and a content check. Files are stored outside the public web folders and only administrators can download them.
- EU VAT check (VIES): EU VAT numbers are checked with the free VIES service of the European Commission, live on the form and again on submit. The registered name and address are shown to you. If VIES is down, the application still goes through and is marked “VIES unavailable” so you can check it later; you can also refuse numbers that VIES reports as invalid.
- Review queue: Customers → Trade applications with status tabs, search, the full application, VIES result, documents, history and internal notes.
- Decisions: approve (assign one or more user groups, optionally make the customer tax exempt, copy company data to the profile, activate the account), request more information (the applicant updates the application and adds documents), decline with a reason, or revoke an approval later.
- E-mails: confirmation, approval, decline and information request for the applicant; an alert for your team, plus a notice in the admin notification center.
- Customer account: a Trade account page with the status of the application, a link in the account menu and a panel on the profile page; new visitors can apply and create their account in one step.
- Hidden prices: works together with our B2B Request a Quote add-on, which hides prices from guests or non-trade groups; trade customers see their prices after approval.
- Privacy: declined applications and old documents are deleted automatically after the periods you set.
