Installation

Requirements

• CS-Cart, CS-Cart Ultimate, Multi-Vendor or Multi-Vendor Ultimate 4.17.2 – 4.21.x.
• The core Banners add-on (chapters are banners) and, for the field notes, the core Blog add-on.
• Administrator access to the admin panel.

Install

1. Download kv_theme_ridge-<version>.zip from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
2. Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons, click the gear button, choose Manual installation and upload the archive. The add-on Ridge theme installs the Ridge theme files. It does not change your storefront.
3. Enter your licence key: Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Ridge theme → Settings → License (see Configuration).
4. Open Website → Themes, find Ridge and click Activate. CS-Cart asks whether to apply the theme’s recommended settings (larger list and detail images without a background colour, so cut-out product images stay transparent); accept them for the intended look.
5. Open any admin page once: Ridge adds its demo content (Fellcraft Outfitters: eight sports with 34 subcategories, 50 products with conditions, activity and spec features, reviews, a weekend sale, two deals and an outlet sale with real end dates, five chapter banners with their chapter details, six field notes and a main menu; on Multi-Vendor four demo shops) and points the homepage blocks at it. A notice confirms it. Turn the setting Install the demo content when the theme is activated off before step 4 to start with an empty design.
6. Choose a style: Dusk, Glacier, Desert or Forest.

The theme brings its own layout (header, homepage chapters and sections, category scene header with the filter bar, product page sections, cart drawer, footer). Layouts of your other themes stay untouched; switching back to your previous theme brings them back.

Upgrade

Upload the new package the same way (Manual installation over the installed add-on), or install the upgrade package in Administration → Upgrade center. Then open any admin page once: the add-on updates the installed theme files. Files you changed yourself (for example a style edited in the Theme editor) are kept, and a notice lists them. Your layouts and blocks are never replaced, and the demo content is never added twice.

Uninstall

1. Switch every storefront to another theme in Website → Themes.
2. Uninstall Ridge theme in Add-ons → Manage add-ons. The Ridge theme files, its layouts and the chapter details of your banners (eyebrow, texts, paired product, phone image) are removed. The banners themselves and the demo products, categories, shops, promotions and posts stay (they are normal items); delete the ones you do not need.

If a storefront still uses Ridge when you uninstall the add-on, the theme files are kept and that storefront shows the standard Responsive look until you install the add-on again or switch the theme.
