- Theme directory:
design/themes/kv_kite (child of responsive), delivered by the add-on kv_theme_kite. The
add-on copies var/themes_repository/kv_kite into design/themes on install; never edit the copy in
var/themes_repository.
- Styles:
styles/data/<Style>.less (Theme editor variables + @kv_* kit tokens + @kt_* Kite tokens: six well
colours @kt_w1..6, six age colours @kt_a1..6 / @kt_ai1..6, band edge @kt_edge, card treatment @kt_card),
the skin in css/skin/skin.less. Own CSS classes use the kt- prefix.
- Media:
media/images/kt/ (SVG illustrations of the growth chart, the interest tiles and the gift finder).
- Templates added by the theme (all render the stock output, or nothing, without the licensed design):

- Data:
app/addons/kv_theme_kite/func.php (“kite-data”): $product.kt from gather_additional_products_data_post
(age chip label and band, age names, brand, safety flags, small parts, New flag, main category); $kt from
dispatch_before_display (ages and interests with counts and filtered links, the age bar of the current list built
from the request URL, JSON for theme.js, product page: gift set); maker facts from get_companies_post /
get_company_data_post. Catalogue data is cached in the Registry with the feature, filter and product tables as
cache tags. Every handler returns at once unless the storefront runs the licensed design. Catalogue data only: safe
with the block cache and the full page cache.
- Script:
js/addons/kv_theme_kite/theme.js on the Kavio kit API (Tygh.kvTheme): gift finder (budget to
price_from / price_to, interest merged into features_hash), hero slider, mega menu tiles, gift set totals,
bottom bar.
- Features are found by code (
KT_*) or by name; see Usage.
- The theme never overrides core templates; your own hooks keep working.
