GPSR Product Safety & EU Guarantee Labels helps you show the product information that EU rules ask online shops to give before a purchase:
- Product safety information (General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, Article 19): the manufacturer’s name, postal and electronic address, the EU responsible person for manufacturers outside the EU, the product identifiers and the warnings and safety information.
- The EU legal guarantee notice (Directive (EU) 2024/825, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, Annex I), applicable since 27 September 2026: the official harmonised notice at checkout, on product pages and on a “Legal guarantee” page.
- The GARAN label (same rules, Annex II): the harmonised label for a producer’s commercial guarantee of durability of more than two years, as a badge that opens the full label on the first click, hover or tap.
It is part of the EU Consumer Law Kit for CS-Cart, together with EU Withdrawal Button & Returns Portal (the “Withdraw from contract here” function of Directive (EU) 2023/2673) and EU Omnibus Lowest Price (the lowest prior price of Directive 98/6/EC, Article 6a). The add-ons work alone and together; when the withdrawal add-on is active, the “Legal guarantee” link joins its “Withdraw from contract here” strip.

Key features

- Automatic manufacturer per brand, per vendor or storefront default, or chosen per product;
- “Product safety” product tab: manufacturer, EU responsible person, product code, GTIN, MPN, type or batch, warnings per language and a safety document link;
- Product page card: legal guarantee row, GARAN badge with the full label on click or hover, manufacturer line;
- Official EU legal guarantee notice per storefront language at checkout, on product pages and on a “Legal guarantee” page;
- GARAN producer guarantee per product: years, brand, model identifier and the producer’s label image;
- Setup checklist; Multi-Vendor: vendors manage their own manufacturers and product data;
- Full page cache safe (CS-Cart 4.21): the storefront output is the same for every visitor.
