Configuration
Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → B2B Net Terms & Credit Limits → Settings. In CS-Cart (Ultimate) with several storefronts, the settings can differ per storefront.

General
Section titled “General”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On | Switches net terms on or off without disabling the add-on. Off: the Net terms payment method is hidden and no new net-terms orders are placed; invoices, payment links and reminders keep working. |
| Net terms and credit | Links to Customers → Net terms & credit and to the payment method. |
Checkout
Section titled “Checkout”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Orders over the available credit | Block the order | Block the order: the customer has to choose another payment method (or pay open invoices first). Place it for credit review: the order is placed with the status Credit review; you approve or reject it on the order page. Each credit account can override this. |
| Require a PO number at checkout | On | The PO number field of the Net terms payment method is required. The PO number is stored with the order (core payment information), printed on the invoice and shown in the account pages and e-mails. |
| Default payment terms (days) | 30 | Terms of new accounts and of approved applications. 0 = due on receipt. |
| Default terms start | Invoice date | Invoice date: due N days after the order (Net 30). End of month: due N days after the end of the order month (Net 30 EOM). |
| Order status when the invoice is paid | Processed | Set when the full balance is paid online or recorded by staff. Only statuses that count as paid are offered. |
| Order status when a credit review is rejected | Canceled | The rejected order gets this status, which returns its stock. |
| Print terms, due date and PO number on invoices | On | Adds “Payment terms”, “Due date”, “PO number” and, for partly paid invoices, “Balance due” to the bill-to block of the CS-Cart invoice document. |
| Payment instructions (bank transfer details) | (empty) | Plain text shown on the invoice payment page, the customer’s Invoices & credit page and in invoice e-mails, for customers who pay by bank transfer. |
| Offer offline payment methods on the invoice payment page | Off | By default only online payment methods (with a payment gateway) are offered for paying an invoice. When on, offline methods are listed too; choosing one records the intention and notifies you, and you record the payment when it arrives. |
E-mails and reminders
Section titled “E-mails and reminders”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Send the invoice e-mail with the due date and payment link | On | Sent when a net-terms order is placed (or when its credit review is approved). |
| Send payment receipts | On | Sent for every recorded payment, partial or full. Staff can switch it off per payment. |
| Send account status e-mails | On | Account approved, put on hold, released, closed. |
| Reminder before the due date (days) | 3 | One reminder this many days before the due date. 0 = off. |
| Overdue reminder every (days) | 7 | The first overdue reminder goes out the day after the due date, then every N days. |
| Maximum overdue reminders | 3 | 0 = no overdue reminders. |
| Put accounts with overdue invoices on hold automatically | Off | Accounts with an invoice more than N days overdue are put On hold (overdue): the customer cannot choose net terms until the overdue invoices are paid. The hold is lifted automatically. A hold set by staff is never lifted automatically. |
| Hold after this many days overdue | 15 | Used by the automatic hold. |
| Notify the store | On | E-mails to the store about newly overdue invoices (one summary per run), new applications and offline payment choices. |
| Notification e-mail | (empty) | Receives the store notices. Empty: the orders department e-mail of the store. |
Applications
Section titled “Applications”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Customers can apply for net terms | On | Signed-in customers without an account see an “Apply for net terms” form on their Invoices & credit page. |
| Tax ID / VAT number required in the application | On | |
| Days before a declined customer can apply again | 30 | 0 = at once. |
Schedule
Section titled “Schedule”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Run the schedule on admin activity when no cron job is set up | On | Overdue detection, reminders and the automatic hold run at most every 30 minutes after an admin page was opened. |
| Cron key | (generated) | Secret key of the cron URL. |
| Cron job | Shows the command and the URL to use, and the last run. |
Set up a cron job that runs every hour:
php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_net_terms_credit_limit.runor, if your host can only call URLs, https://yourstore.com/index.php?dispatch=kv_net_terms_credit_limit.cron&key=<cron key>. Customers → Net terms & credit → Invoices → Run now runs it at once.
The payment method
Section titled “The payment method”The installation creates Net terms (pay by invoice) in Administration → Payment methods. You can rename it, change its description, add instructions, an icon, a surcharge, usergroups or storefronts like any payment method. What makes a method a net-terms method is its template: net_terms.tpl (from this add-on). You can create several (for example per storefront) by choosing that template.
The add-on hides net-terms methods from guests and from customers without an active credit account with a limit, so you do not need to restrict the method by usergroup. A usergroup restriction you set still applies on top.
Usergroup terms
Section titled “Usergroup terms”Customers → Net terms & credit → Usergroup terms gives every customer of a usergroup net terms without an own account: switch net terms on for the group and enter a credit limit and terms. When a customer is in several such groups, the highest limit applies. A customer’s own account always takes precedence; an account can also be set to “Follow the usergroup terms”.
This works well with the CS-Cart usergroup request or our B2B Registration add-on: approved trade customers join the wholesale usergroup and can pay on terms at once.
Privileges
Section titled “Privileges”Two privileges are added to the administrator usergroups (Customers → Administrators → usergroups): View net terms and credit accounts and Manage net terms and credit accounts (record payments, change limits, decide applications).
License
Section titled “License”The license status is shown in a License card at the top of the add-on page, above the tabs, so you see it on every tab. The License tab holds the key itself. The key is stored once for the whole installation.

The License card shows:
- the status in color: green when valid, blue for a development host or the 14-day period before a key is required (with the days left), amber when the license server could not be reached (with the days left) or a Marketplace number is still being verified, red when the add-on is switched off;
- in plain words what the status means and, when the add-on is (or will be) switched off, what stops: customers can no longer choose net terms for new orders; existing open invoices stay payable through their links and stay manageable in the admin, including reminders;
- the licensed domain, every storefront with its result (covered, development host, not covered), the end of the updates and support period, the last and the next check, and the key in use (masked);
- the actions Enter license key / Change license key (opens the License tab), Check now (verifies at once and stays on the page), Manage license (your licenses on cs-cart.kaviolabs.com) and, without a valid license, Buy a license.
In Add-ons → Manage add-ons the add-on’s row shows a small license badge next to its name, for example License: Valid or License: Pending · 9 days left.
The add-on’s own admin pages (Customers → Net terms & credit) show the license status in a bar at the top: a small green chip when the license is valid, or a banner with the status, what is switched off and the same actions as the card.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| License key | Your Kavio Labs license key (KAVIO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, from My licenses on cs-cart.kaviolabs.com) or your CS-Cart Marketplace license number. If you entered the Marketplace license number in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (the add-on’s license field), leave this empty: the add-on uses that number. |
| License status | Points to the License card and explains what the check sends. |
What the license covers. A license is bound to the base domain you entered at purchase (for example yourstore.com) and covers every subdomain of it (www.yourstore.com, shop.yourstore.com, staging.yourstore.com). Local development hosts are always allowed: localhost, 127.0.0.1 and other private IP addresses, and host names ending in .localhost, .test, .local, .example or .invalid. A store on a different base domain needs its own license. If you move your store to a new domain, contact support.
When the add-on checks. When you save the key, and then once a day. The check runs only in the admin panel (on a page you open) or from cron, never while customers browse the storefront or place orders, and takes a few seconds at most. A cron job keeps the license verified even when nobody opens the admin panel:
php /home/yourstore/public_html/admin.php --dispatch=kv_net_terms_credit_limit_license.checkWhat is sent. The check sends this to https://cs-cart.kaviolabs.com and nothing else: the license key, the add-on ID and version, the host names of your storefronts, your CS-Cart version and edition, and a random one-time value. No customer or order data is sent. The server answers with a digitally signed result, so a forged answer is ignored.
Statuses.
| Status (card) | Color | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Valid | Green | The license is valid for this domain. Everything works. |
| Development host | Blue | The store runs on a local development host, which every license covers. Everything works. |
| Pending verification | Amber | A CS-Cart Marketplace license number was accepted, but the Marketplace has not confirmed it yet. Everything works. |
| Pending · N days left | Blue | No verified key yet (a new installation). Everything works for 14 days. |
| Grace period · N days left | Amber | The last checks failed (for example a network problem). The add-on keeps working for 14 days after the first failed check. |
| Not activated, Invalid key, Revoked, Domain mismatch, Not verified | Red | The Net terms payment method is hidden, no new net-terms orders are placed and no new applications are accepted. Existing invoices keep working: payment links, online payments, recorded payments, status handling, reminders, overdue detection, statements, the aging report and all admin pages. Domain mismatch shows the licensed domain next to the domain your store runs on. |
When your updates and support period ends, the add-on keeps working. Only updates and support stop.
License information appears in the admin panel only, and only for administrators who may manage add-ons; vendors and customers never see it. When the add-on is switched off, other admin pages also show a notice once per session with a link to the add-on page; the add-on page and the add-on’s own pages show the card or the status bar instead.
