Custom Development Terms
Effective date: October 2026
These terms apply to custom work by Kavio Labs Software Limited: new add-ons, changes to existing add-ons, theme work, integrations, upgrades and customization hours. They supplement the Terms of Service.
1. Quotes
Section titled “1. Quotes”- After you send a request, we reply within 3 business days with questions or a written quote.
- A quote lists the scope, the price, the timeline and what you need to provide (access, content, test accounts).
- It is valid for 30 days.
- Work starts when you accept the quote and the first payment is received.
2. Ways to buy

Prices exclude VAT, which is added where applicable.
3. Changes to the scope
Section titled “3. Changes to the scope”Anything not in the quote is a change request. We estimate it before doing it. You decide whether to add it at the quoted price or the hour-block rate.
4. How we work
Section titled “4. How we work”- We never edit CS-Cart core files. We use hooks, template overrides and add-on schemas, so you can keep upgrading CS-Cart.
- We work on a staging copy whenever possible. You are responsible for a current backup before anything is deployed to production.
- We deliver an installable package and short documentation. Code that changes an existing add-on is delivered as an update of that add-on.
5. Acceptance
Section titled “5. Acceptance”You have 10 business days after delivery to test the work and report anything that does not match the quote. After that, or when the work is used on your live store, it counts as accepted.
6. Warranty
Section titled “6. Warranty”Anything that does not work as agreed is fixed free for 3 months after delivery.
The warranty does not cover:
- changes made by others;
- new requirements;
- CS-Cart or third-party updates released after delivery;
- server changes.
After the warranty period, hour blocks or a monthly plan cover further work.
7. Code ownership
Section titled “7. Code ownership”Once the work is paid in full, you receive a perpetual, royalty-free license to use and modify the delivered code on your own stores.
We keep the right to reuse generic, non-confidential parts in our work. If a feature would be useful to other merchants, we may ask to add it to our catalog. That is always your choice, and we never use your confidential data or branding.
Changes to our catalog add-ons stay under the License Agreement of the add-on.
8. Confidentiality and access
Section titled “8. Confidentiality and access”- We keep your business information, data and access details confidential and use them only for the project.
- We delete access details at the end of the project. Please change them afterwards.
- If we process personal data of your customers while working on your store, we do so as your processor, only on your instructions. We sign a data processing agreement on request.
9. Payment and cancellation
Section titled “9. Payment and cancellation”- Invoices are due within 7 days.
- We may pause work on overdue invoices.
- You may cancel a project at any time. You pay for the work done until then, at the hour-block rate, capped at the quoted price.
- Payments for completed milestones are not refundable. Unused hours follow the Refund Policy.
10. Liability
Section titled “10. Liability”Our liability for custom work is limited to the price of the project, or to the hours concerned. The other limits in section 9 of the Terms of Service also apply.
