Photo & Video Reviews with Q&A extends the reviews that CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor already have (the core Product reviews add-on: ratings, photos, helpful votes, “Verified purchase”). It adds what shoppers look for before they buy:
- Customer videos in reviews. Reviewers upload a short clip (MP4, MOV or WebM) or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link. You set the size and length limits. Uploaded files are checked by their content, and location data is removed.
- Privacy-friendly players. Nothing loads from YouTube or Vimeo until the shopper clicks play. The poster image is stored in your store, and YouTube plays in privacy-enhanced mode.
- A Photos & videos tab. It shows every approved customer photo and video of the product in one grid, with a full-screen viewer that shows the matching review.
- Review filters. Shoppers filter by star rating, “With photos or videos”, “With videos” and “Verified buyers”. The core sorting and votes stay.
- Questions & answers. Shoppers ask questions on the product page. The store, the vendor (Multi-Vendor) and buyers answer, and shoppers vote answers helpful. You choose who can ask and answer, what needs approval, and who gets notified by e-mail.
- Review rewards. Every approved review that meets your conditions earns a unique, single-use coupon. The conditions are a minimum rating, a photo or video, verified buyers only, a minimum length and a limit per customer.
- Moderation. Admin pages for questions, review videos and issued coupons. In Multi-Vendor, vendors answer and moderate questions and videos of their own products in the vendor panel.
- Photo privacy. GPS position and camera data are removed from review photos before they are stored.
- Search engines. The add-on adds photos and videos to the core review markup. It prints no second JSON-LD block, so it works together with SEO Pro Suite.
Compatibility: CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.2.5 – 8.3. The add-on needs the core Product reviews add-on. It works with the full page cache of 4.21: product pages stay cacheable, and forms and votes load separately for each visitor.
With Review Request E-mails installed, that add-on sends the review requests and gives the rewards for the reviews they bring in. This add-on puts its video fields on the review page of the request e-mails. See Developer notes.
