Does CS-Cart not have a quick order form already?
Section titled “Does CS-Cart not have a quick order form already?”No. CS-Cart has “Buy now” from product lists and a product search, but no form where a buyer enters many SKUs and quantities at once, pastes a list or uploads a file. This add-on adds that page, a block for any page and an account link.
Which SKUs are found?
Section titled “Which SKUs are found?”The product code of every active product the customer may see, including the codes of product variations (each variation has its own SKU). Letter case does not matter. Hidden products (status Hidden) can be ordered by their SKU, like from a direct link; disabled products cannot.
Are the prices right for my trade customers?
Section titled “Are the prices right for my trade customers?”Yes. The form asks CS-Cart for the price exactly as the product page and the cart do: user-group prices, quantity discounts, catalog promotions and prices from other add-ons (for example our Wholesale Price Lists) all apply. Cart promotions, taxes and shipping are calculated in the cart, so the form shows an estimated total.
Can I offer the form only to trade customers?
Section titled “Can I offer the form only to trade customers?”Yes. Set Who can use the form to Customers in selected user groups and tick your trade groups. Our B2B Registration & Approval add-on puts approved customers into those groups automatically.
What happens with products that have options?
Section titled “What happens with products that have options?”Products with optional options are added with their default choice, like from a product list. Products with a required text, checkbox or file option show a link to the product page. You can also send every product with options to its page.
How large can a pasted list or CSV file be?
Section titled “How large can a pasted list or CSV file be?”Up to the Maximum lines per order setting (100 by default, 500 at most) and 2 MB per file. The file never leaves the customer’s browser; only the lines are sent.
Does it work with Multi-Vendor?
Section titled “Does it work with Multi-Vendor?”Yes. The form lists the products of all vendors and shows who sells each one; the cart splits the order by vendor as usual. When several vendors sell the same SKU, the vendor with stock and the lowest price is used.
Does it work with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21?
Section titled “Does it work with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21?”Yes. The quick order page is never cached. The block and the account link print the same markup for every visitor; prices, lists and orders are loaded separately for each visitor and never cached.
Will it slow down my store?
Section titled “Will it slow down my store?”No. The add-on loads nothing on other pages except a small script and style file. The form asks the server only while a customer types or adds lines.
I use the Forge theme, which has a quick order pad.
Section titled “I use the Forge theme, which has a quick order pad.”Both work side by side. The theme’s pad is a home page block; this add-on adds a full quick order page with paste, CSV, line checks, reorder and lists. See Using it with the Forge theme.
What happens if the license lapses?
Section titled “What happens if the license lapses?”Without a valid license (no key after the 14-day start period, an invalid or revoked key, a domain the license does not cover, or no successful check for 14 days), the quick order page, block and account link are hidden and no products can be added through the form. Saved lists are kept, and the cart, checkout and orders keep working. Once the license is valid again, everything is back.
The admin panel shows a license notice.
Section titled “The admin panel shows a license notice.”Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Bulk Quick Order Form: the License card at the top says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it on the License tab and click Check now. See License.
Does the add-on work on my staging copy?
Section titled “Does the add-on work on my staging copy?”Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain (for example staging.example.com) and local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, *.local, *.test) are covered by the same license.
What happens if your license server is down?
Section titled “What happens if your license server is down?”Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries every hour. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.
Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?
Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”No. The check runs only in the admin panel or from cron, at most once a day, never while customers browse, order or check out.
