Store Credit Wallet gives every registered customer a store credit balance. You fill it with refunds, cashback and your own credits; customers spend it at checkout, in full or in part, together with any payment method. Every change is one line in an immutable ledger, so you always know where each cent came from.
- Pay with store credit at checkout: “Use store credit” or an own amount in the order summary. The credit works like a gift certificate: taxes, promotions and shipping are calculated on the full price, then the credit is taken off the total. If it covers everything, the order needs no payment method.
- Refunds to store credit: a “Refund to store credit” form on the order page (partial or full) and on RMA returns, plus optional automatic refunds when a paid order is cancelled.
- Cancelled orders give the credit back: when an order reaches Canceled, Declined or Failed (your choice), the store credit it used returns to the wallet, into the same credit it came from. Reopening the order takes it again.
- Cashback rules: percent or fixed amount, for the whole order or for categories, with minimum subtotal, maximum, user groups and dates. Cashback is shown at checkout, added when the order is completed and reversed when it is cancelled or refunded.
- Admin credits and deductions: with a note for the customer, an internal note, an optional expiry date and an e-mail.
- Expiring credit: cashback and your credits can expire; customers get a reminder before. Refunds never expire.
- Customer account page: balance, expiring credit and the full history with orders and notes.
- Reports: outstanding store credit, a transactions report with totals per reason, CSV exports and a read-only REST API.
- Multi-Vendor: the credit of a split order is shared between the vendor orders to the cent; vendor payouts treat it like gift certificates.
- Top-ups (off by default): customers can buy store credit with a product you choose; see the legal note before you enable it.
- Full page cache ready: the balance appears only on the account page and at checkout, which are never cached.
