Configuration

Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons > Scalapay Payments > Settings. The API keys are not settings: they are entered on Orders > Scalapay > Connection and stored encrypted.

Setting Default Description
Enable On When off, no new payment is started. Payments that are under way are still read back, captured and refunded.
Marketplace owner mode (Multi-Vendor) On On: every order is paid to the marketplace owner’s Scalapay account. Off: each vendor connects their own Scalapay account (Connection page in the vendor panel); carts with several vendors then cannot use Scalapay.
Capture At once (standard flow) At once: captured right after the customer authorized. Delayed: capture at the capture status / Delayed: capture by hand on the order page. Delayed capture must be enabled for your Scalapay account; a refused delay falls back to an immediate capture.
Delayed capture window (days) 5 How long Scalapay holds a delayed authorization (at most 5 days).
Capture at order status Complete Delayed capture at order status: captured when the order reaches this status.
Order status when captured Processed Set once Scalapay confirmed the capture.
Order status while authorized (delayed capture) Open The order waits here until it is captured. Open is CS-Cart’s usual “placed, not processed yet” status (core counts it like other placed orders and decreases stock, as for offline payments). Do not use Processed or Complete here.
Order status when not paid Failed The customer did not complete the payment, the capture was refused, or a delayed authorization expired / was voided before capture.
Void at order status Cancelled A delayed authorization is voided at this status and at Declined.
Refund at order status (none) Optional: refunds what is captured and not refunded yet when the order reaches this status. The refund is queued and runs with the next cron run.
Minimum order amount (EUR) 5.00 Scalapay is hidden below. Use your contract’s limits.
Maximum order amount (EUR) (empty) Scalapay is hidden above. Enter your contract’s maximum (Scalapay documents no API to read it).
Merchant reference prefix cs merchantReference = prefix + order number. Use a different prefix per shop if several shops share one Scalapay account.
Show the widget on product pages / in the cart / at checkout On Scalapay’s widget below the price, below the cart total and in the payment step.
Widget alignment, widget logo colour Scalapay default Passed to the widget.
Information line (empty) Optional plain text under the widget, for example a line your adviser asks for under the consumer credit rules.
Debug log Off Stores every HTTP call with masked request and response. API keys and customer data (names, e-mail, phone, address) are never stored.
Log retention (days) 90
Delete payment records on uninstall Off Off: uninstall keeps payments and the connection. On: the next uninstall deletes them.

Presenting Scalapay (EU Consumer Credit Directive)

Section titled “Presenting Scalapay (EU Consumer Credit Directive)”

Directive (EU) 2023/2225 brings “buy now, pay later” credit into the consumer credit rules; Member States apply their national measures from 20 November 2026. The add-on keeps its own texts neutral: it names the method, never pre-selects it and makes no claims about cost, ease or speed; the instalment amounts, dates and terms come from Scalapay’s widget and page. Use the information line if your adviser asks for a warning text. Scalapay is the creditor; you decide how your shop advertises it. This is not legal advice.
