404 Monitor & Redirect Manager changelog

All notable changes to 404 Monitor & Redirect Manager (kv_redirect_404_manager) are documented here. The format follows Keep a Changelog and the project uses Semantic Versioning.

  • 404 log: hits by visitors and search engine bots, first and last seen, referrer (without query), storefront; other bots, scanners and ignored URLs skipped; no IP addresses stored; retention by age and size.
  • Buffered recording: no database write during normal page views; 404s and rule hits are aggregated at most once a minute, on the add-on pages and by cron.
  • Suggestions of the closest product, category or page for each 404; one-click redirect from the log and bulk redirect to suggestions.
  • Redirect rules: exact, wildcard and regex (with safety limits); 301, 302 and 410; targets URL, product, category, page or “same SEO name”; priority, language, storefront (Ultimate), query pass-through, override for existing pages.
  • Core SEO first: rules apply to URLs that are not found; core SEO redirects are respected unless a rule overrides them.
  • Loop and self-redirect protection, chain warnings and badges, hit counter per rule.
  • CSV import and export; migration presets for Shopify, WooCommerce and .html URLs.
  • Test a URL: core redirect, matching rule, chain, verdict and the live answer of the storefront.
  • Full page cache (4.21) support: own tables ignored as cache tags; override rules purge the page cache.
  • License client with status card, admin status bar and Add-ons list badge; self-healing upgrades (Upgrade\Synchronizer).
