Usage
First listing
Section titled “First listing”- Categories: search for a category. The search shows the predicted category first (Mercado Libre’s category predictor works on the text you type, written in the language of the site, for example a product title), then leaf categories whose name contains the text. The first search walks the category tree level by level; on a large tree press Refresh reference data again until it is complete (the walk resumes where it stopped). Map a CS-Cart category to a Mercado Libre category, with an optional markup and brand.
- Attributes: for the chosen category the required attributes are listed (SKU, GTIN, condition and brand are filled by the add-on). Map each to a product feature or a fixed value. Values of closed lists are matched by name and sent by id; free text attributes are sent as text.
- Rules: markup, price endings, stock buffer, default brand.
- Listings: map products (one by one or a whole CS-Cart category). The product’s barcode is sent as SELLER_SKU; when it is a valid GTIN (8, 12, 13 or 14 digits with a correct check digit) it is also sent as GTIN. If the category asks for a GTIN and the barcode is not one, the item is not sent when the GTIN is required, and gets the empty-GTIN reason “No registrado” when the category accepts a reason instead. Mapped products without an item are created on the next sync.
- Watch the Listings page: a product shows Waiting after it was sent, Live when Mercado Libre accepted it, or the exact reason Mercado Libre gave. Fix the data and press Retry. An item that Mercado Libre puts under review shows its state there too (reported by notification).
Stock and price
Section titled “Stock and price”One call per item with the changed stock and/or price, on the schedule and whenever a mapped product is saved. Sync now queues an immediate push and order import. Stock 0 pauses the item at Mercado Libre. A price that Mercado Libre ignores (price automation or a running campaign on that item) is shown as an error on the product with the reason Mercado Libre gave.
Orders
Section titled “Orders”- Paid orders are imported once as CS-Cart orders with the receiver as buyer, the delivery address of the shipment and the prices as sold. Orders that are not paid yet wait; orders cancelled before they were imported create nothing. Mercado Libre gives no buyer e-mail, so imported orders carry a placeholder address.
- Notifications (orders_v2, shipments) import an order within the next queue run; the poll catches the rest every sync interval.
- A line whose item has a SELLER_SKU that is not mapped is not imported: the Orders page shows the reason and the import is retried.
- Shipment status changes (handling, ready to ship, shipped, delivered, not delivered, cancelled) follow into CS-Cart through the status mapping; a cancelled order becomes a cancelled CS-Cart order.
- Label (PDF) and Label (ZPL) on the Orders page download the Mercado Envios 2 label of the order’s shipment. Mercado Libre only prints labels in the state ready to ship / ready to print (or printed); otherwise it explains why not and the message is shown. Standard labels are 10 x 15 cm (20 x 10 cm in Mexico).
- With I ship with my own carrier the add-on reports the tracking number of a CS-Cart shipment and the status shipped for orders with custom shipping. It never writes to Mercado Envios 2 shipments.
- Seller cancellations and refunds are done in Mercado Libre (Ventas): its public API documentation has no call for them.
Returns
Section titled “Returns”Claims and returns are managed in Mercado Libre in this version; the Returns page stays empty.
Jobs, log and connection
Section titled “Jobs, log and connection”- Jobs: counts per state, the list with the last error, Retry, Remove and Run the queue now.
- Log: filter and export what happened and when, including every rejected notification.
- Connection: credentials, site, listing and shipping options, Connect to Mercado Libre, Test connection.
Limits worth knowing
Section titled “Limits worth knowing”- Mercado Libre answers 429 (local_rate_limited) when calls are too frequent; the queue retries after the usual back-off.
- Titles are limited to 60 characters here (the limit is per category; some allow more), descriptions are plain text without markup, pictures must be JPG or PNG up to 10 MB, at least 500 x 500 px (1200 x 1200 recommended).
- One CS-Cart product is one simple item; options and variations are not sent.
- The new User Products publishing model is not used. If Mercado Libre activates it for your account or category, the answer is shown on the product; a later version will follow.
- Authorization needs the main seller account and an https redirect address.
