Installation and setup

  • CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 or later.
  • Administrator access to the store’s admin panel.
  • A PayU account with a point of sale (POS) of the type “REST API (Checkout)”. You need its POS ID, the OAuth client secret and the second key (MD5), all shown in the PayU merchant panel under the POS configuration. For tests, PayU publishes public sandbox POS credentials (see Developer notes) or you can register a sandbox merchant account at secure.snd.payu.com. A POS settles one currency (for example PLN); open a POS per currency you sell in.
  • Auto-receive must be switched on for the POS in the PayU panel (automatic collection of payments). With it off, PayU keeps paid orders in the status WAITING_FOR_CONFIRMATION until you accept them there; the add-on does not accept payments by itself, so such orders stay open in your store.
  • A cron job on your server (see step 6).
  1. Download the kv_payu-<version>.zip package from your Kavio Labs or CS-Cart Marketplace account.
  2. In the admin panel, open Add-ons > Manage add-ons.
  3. Click the gear button and choose Manual installation, then upload the archive.
  4. Find PayU for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor in the list and make sure its status is Active.
  5. Enter your license key under Settings > License (Kavio Labs downloads) and click Check now.
  1. Open Orders > PayU (the add-on page) and the Connection tab, or Add-ons > Manage add-ons > PayU for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor > Settings and click Connection.
  2. Choose Test mode and enter the test OAuth client ID (this is the POS ID), the OAuth client secret and the second key (MD5). Save and click Test connection: a green message means the credentials work.
  3. Nothing has to be entered in the PayU panel for notifications: the add-on sends its notification address (notifyUrl) with every order, as the PayU API allows. The address is shown on the Connection page for information; it must be reachable from the internet over HTTPS.
  4. Switch to Live mode and enter the live credentials only after a successful test; test again.
  5. Open Administration > Payment methods, add a method, choose the processor PayU and activate it.
  6. Add the cron job from the settings page (Cron section), every minute is fine. Overlapping runs are prevented.

By default the marketplace owner connects one account for all vendors (Marketplace owner mode on). The payments then go to the owner’s PayU account and only the owner’s administrators can refund them; vendors see the payment of their orders but have no refund button.

Switch the mode off to let each vendor connect their own PayU account in the vendor panel (Connection tab). In that mode PayU is offered at checkout only when the cart holds products of one vendor and that vendor has connected an account. A cart with products of several vendors cannot be paid with PayU (one PayU order cannot be split between accounts), so the method is hidden for it; offer another payment method for mixed carts.

  1. Upload the new package the same way. Your settings, credentials and data are kept.
  2. The add-on adds missing tables and settings by itself on the first request after the update.

See CHANGELOG for what changed in each version.

Open Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click the add-on’s gear button and choose Uninstall. This removes the add-on’s settings, language variables and database tables, including the stored credentials.
