Vendor Table Rate Shipping lets every vendor of your marketplace build their own shipping prices in a simple table instead of the core rate editor, which works with one rate area at a time and is hard for vendors. A row says where (country, state, postcode patterns) and for what range (weight, order subtotal or number of items) a price applies. Vendors add Standard, Express or local courier methods, import rows from a spreadsheet and test a cart before customers see the price. Every table-rate method is a normal CS-Cart shipping method of the vendor, so checkout, orders, taxes, free-shipping promotions and payouts work as usual.
- Rate tables by destination: countries, states and postcode patterns (
10115,SW1*,10000-19999) per row. The most specific matching row wins. - Three rate bases: package weight, vendor subtotal or item count, with a per-unit charge (per weight unit, per item, or a percentage of the subtotal).
- Free shipping over an amount, handling fee (fixed and/or percent), minimum and maximum charge, delivery time per row or per method.
- Surcharges for bulky products: per product (by product code) or per category, per item or once per order.
- Spreadsheet-like editor: add, insert, duplicate, move and remove rows, Enter moves down, paste cells from a spreadsheet.
- CSV export and import (replace or append), with error messages per line.
- Test a cart: destination, weight, subtotal, items and product codes; the price of every method of the vendor with the matched row and how it was calculated.
- Templates: the administrator publishes ready-made tables; vendors copy them when they create a method or apply them later.
- Administrator control: access for all vendors, selected vendor plans or administrators only; lock a vendor’s method; methods per vendor; report of methods in use with orders and shipping charged in the last 30 days.
- Standard checkout: rates are calculated for each vendor’s part of the order through a CS-Cart shipping service. No storefront templates, safe with full page cache.
