Abandoned Cart Recovery Pro

Add-on ID: kv_abandoned_cart_recovery · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.1.1 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view

Most shoppers who add products to the cart never finish the order. CS-Cart only lists those carts under Customers → Users carts, and you would have to write to each shopper by hand. This add-on keeps a copy of every cart that belongs to a known e-mail address (signed-in customers and guests who typed their e-mail at checkout), sends up to three reminder e-mails on a schedule you set, and brings the shopper back with a one-click link that restores the cart on any device. A reminder can carry a unique, single-use coupon. When the shopper orders, the order is attributed to the reminder, so the dashboard shows exactly how much revenue the reminders brought back.

  • Captures registered and guest carts. Signed-in customers are captured as soon as they add a product. Guests are captured once they enter an e-mail at checkout, also when they never press a button.
  • Reminder sequence of up to three e-mails. Each reminder has its own delay in hours of cart inactivity, its own e-mail template and an optional coupon. The sequence stops as soon as the shopper orders, empties the cart or unsubscribes.
  • Unique coupons through core promotions. Each reminder can generate a single-use code with an expiry date. The discount itself is a normal cart promotion, so you can give a percentage, a fixed amount, free shipping or any other bonus. One click creates a ready-made “10% off” promotion.
  • One-click restore link. The signed link restores the products with their options and quantities, prefills the guest’s e-mail and name, applies the coupon and opens the checkout. It works for guests on a new device as well.
  • Recovered revenue attribution. Orders placed within the attribution window after a reminder are counted as recovered, per reminder step. Orders placed before any reminder are kept apart, so they never inflate the figures.
  • Dashboard. Abandoned carts and their value, reminded carts, restore rate, recovered orders, recovery rate and recovered revenue (with the paid share), a daily chart, a per-step table and the most abandoned products.
  • Cart list and cart details with filters, the reminder timeline, coupons, clicks, the linked order, an e-mail preview, a test e-mail and “send the next reminder now”.
  • Consent built in. A “Remind me” checkbox under the checkout e-mail field (opt-out or opt-in mode), an unsubscribe link in every e-mail, a suppression list, and an optional bridge to the Kavio Labs Cookie Consent add-on.
  • E-mail templates in the core editor. The three reminders are regular CS-Cart e-mail templates (Design → E-mail templates) with product images, options, quantities and prices.
  • Runs from cron, from a cron URL, from the Run now button, or (optional) in the background while you work in the admin panel.
  • Multi-Vendor: carts with products of several vendors are handled as one cart, and vendors can see the abandoned cart figures of their own products in the vendor panel (no shopper data).
  • GDPR add-on integration (personal data export and anonymization), automatic deletion of old cart records, and full page cache safe (CS-Cart 4.21).

Themes Responsive and themes based on it (Bright theme, Nova theme, child themes)

Whenever CS-Cart saves a storefront cart, the add-on stores a copy (products, options, quantities, prices, e-mail) if the cart belongs to a known e-mail address. Nothing is written when the cart did not change. A run (cron, cron URL, Run now or admin activity) looks for carts that have been idle longer than the delay of the next reminder, checks consent and whether the shopper has ordered in the meantime, generates the coupon if the step has one, and sends the e-mail through the CS-Cart mailer. The restore link adds the products back to the visitor’s cart and remembers the cart for the attribution. When an order is placed, the add-on links it to the reminded cart, withdraws the used coupon and records the revenue.
