General
Section titled “General”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On | Turns the cart and checkout estimate on or off without uninstalling the add-on. Stored orders, customs data and exports keep working. |
| Ship-from country | empty | Two-letter code of the country your goods ship from (for example CN, GB). Used when a product has no own ship-from country. On Multi-Vendor the vendor’s company country comes first. Empty means no duties are estimated. |
| Content type on customs forms | Merchandise | Shown in the CN22 / CN23 export: merchandise, gift, commercial sample, documents, returned goods or other. |
| CN22 / CN23 switch value | 300 | Goods value in the store currency above which the export marks a CN23 instead of a CN22. The UPU limit is 300 SDR: enter its value in your currency. |
Identification numbers
Section titled “Identification numbers”| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| IOSS number | Your Import One-Stop Shop number (IM…). Printed on documents of orders delivered to an EU member state. |
| UK VAT number | Printed on documents of orders delivered to the UK. |
| EORI number | Printed on documents of cross-border orders. |
| Print the numbers on invoice and packing slip | Off hides the identification line. |
The documents show the numbers after you press Add to documents on the Rules tab (it adds one row to the invoice and order summary templates and one line to the packing slip; Remove from documents restores the stock templates).
Rules (Orders → Cross-border duties → Rules)
Section titled “Rules (Orders → Cross-border duties → Rules)”Every active rule whose ship-from country, destination, parcel value and dates match adds its amounts to the cart.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ships from / Destination | A country code (DE), EU, * for any country, a comma list (DE,FR), or ! in front to negate (!EU = outside the EU). |
| Currency | Currency of the amounts and of the parcel value limits. It is converted to the store currency with the store’s currency rates; the currency must exist in Administration → Currencies. |
| Parcel value from / up to | Goods value of one parcel (one delivery from one ship-from country) in the rule currency. 0 = no limit. |
| Duty % | Duty as a percent of the goods value. Replaced per item by an HS duty rate when “Use HS duty rates” is on and a rate matches. |
| Duty per item | Fixed duty per customs item (see below). |
| Fee per item / Fee per parcel | Handling fees. |
| VAT % | VAT on goods + duty + fee. Leave it 0 if your CS-Cart tax rates already charge VAT for that destination, or the VAT is charged twice. |
| Mode | DDP: the amount is added to the order total (you collect it and pay or prepay it). DAP: shown as a notice, not added; the customer pays the carrier or customs on delivery. |
| Valid from / to | Dates (UTC). The EU rules carry their legal dates. |
| Position | Display order of the rules. |
Customs item: products with the same first 6 digits of the HS code count as one customs item in a parcel; products without an HS code count one item each. Quantity does not multiply per-item amounts.
HS duty rates
Section titled “HS duty rates”Orders → Cross-border duties → HS duty rates: a duty % for goods whose HS code starts with a prefix, per destination (*, EU, a country). The longest matching prefix wins. Rates are yours to maintain: look them up in the official tariff (links on the Rules tab).
Multi-Vendor
Section titled “Multi-Vendor”Each vendor shipment is a separate parcel. The ship-from country of a vendor’s products is the vendor’s company country, unless the product has its own ship-from country. Vendors edit the customs fields in the product form; rules, rates and exports are for the marketplace owner.
