404 Monitor & Redirect Manager
Add-on ID: kv_redirect_404_manager · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view
CS-Cart’s SEO add-on already creates a 301 redirect when you change the SEO name of a product or category, and it lets you add single redirects by hand. What it does not tell you is which URLs your visitors and search engines still request and get a “Page not found” for: old links from other sites, a previous shop system, deleted products, typos. This add-on logs those 404 errors, suggests where they should go and fixes them in one click. Redirect rules can be exact URLs, wildcards or regular expressions, and you can import thousands of them from a CSV file when you migrate a store.
- 404 log: every URL that ends in “Page not found”, with hits, first and last seen, the referring page and whether visitors or search engine bots requested it. Other bots and vulnerability scanners are filtered out. No IP addresses are stored.
- One-click redirects: create a rule from any 404 entry. The add-on suggests the closest product, category or page by comparing the URL with your SEO names, and can redirect a whole selection to its suggestions at once.
- Redirect rules: exact URLs, wildcards (
/blog/*to/news/$1) and regular expressions with safety limits; 301, 302 or 410 Gone; the target is a URL or a product, category or page (its current SEO URL is used, so the rule stays right when the SEO name changes). - Works with core SEO: core SEO pages and its automatic redirects come first; your rules apply to URLs that are not found. A rule marked Override also redirects existing pages.
- Priority, loop and chain checks: loops and self-redirects are refused when you save, chains (a target that is redirected again) are flagged.
- Hit counters per rule, CSV import and export, rules per storefront (Ultimate) and per language.
- Test a URL: shows what core SEO and your rules do with any URL and, if you like, the real answer of your storefront.
- Fast: nothing is written to the database during normal page views. 404s and rule hits are collected in a small buffer file and written in batches.
