FAQ
Does the date bar promise delivery on the chosen day? No. The chosen date is a preference in the shopper’s browser that labels products (“Can arrive” or “Earliest”) from their Earliest delivery feature, your cut-off and your delivery days. It never changes prices, stock or checkout. Let shoppers confirm the day at checkout (the Kavio Delivery Date & Time Slots add-on does this with real capacity, and Petal pre-selects the chosen day there when it is offered).
A product shows no stamp or arrival line.
Give it a value of the Earliest delivery feature (code PE_LEAD, or a feature named Earliest delivery). Check that
Delivery date chips and arrival lines is on for the lines.
The countdown shows the wrong time. The cut-off is store time: check Settings → Appearance → Time zone and the Same-day cut-off setting. Shoppers in other time zones see the time left until your cut-off.
Can I deliver only on weekdays? Yes: set Delivery days to Monday to Friday (or Monday to Saturday). Closed days are greyed out and skipped.
Where do the occasion tags come from? From a categories block: choose the categories in Website → Themes → Layouts. Any category with an image works.
How do the size and vase buttons work? They are normal product options named Size, Vase or Pot with price modifiers. See Usage.
Do I need the Gift Wrap & Messages add-on for card messages? No. Without it the hints ask shoppers to write the message in the order comments at checkout. With it, its checkout panel collects the message, the names and the gift wrap.
My product images are square photos. Do they work? Yes. Images sit centred in a portrait well and are never cropped. Portrait pictures (4:5) on a transparent or light background look best.
Does Petal work with the full page cache of CS-Cart 4.21? Yes. Theme output holds only catalogue data and settings; dates, the countdown and the arrival lines are calculated in the shopper’s browser, and basket and wish list counters come from the standard blocks.
What happens when the licence expires? The storefront shows the standard Responsive look; your store keeps selling. See Configuration.
