FAQ

No. It invoices exactly what CS-Cart vendor accounting recorded (the commission of Vendor plans, category fees and commission add-ons). The commission on the invoices always equals the commission in Vendors → Accounting.

No. The add-on remembers which accounting transaction each invoice line came from and only invoices the difference between what accounting says now and what was already invoiced. Running the invoice run or Generate again changes nothing; each vendor gets one invoice per period.

An order was cancelled after the invoice. What happens?

Section titled “An order was cancelled after the invoice. What happens?”

The next invoice of that vendor contains a commission reversal (a credit line) for that order. Refunds work the same way. If the corrections of a period are larger than the new commission, a credit note is created instead of an invoice.

Why does an invoice show an order from an earlier month?

Section titled “Why does an invoice show an order from an earlier month?”

Its accounting transaction was recorded or became payable after the earlier invoice was made (for example an order that moved to Complete later, or a refund). The line keeps the transaction’s date.

Usually not: the marketplace already kept the commission and plan fees from the vendor’s payouts, so the invoice only documents it and is marked Paid when issued. Tax is the exception unless you choose Deduct the tax from the vendor balance. If your vendors receive the customers’ money themselves, choose Vendors pay each invoice.

None for a specific country. You set the rate and name, and per vendor the treatment (standard, reverse charge, exempt) and the notes. Ask your tax adviser which applies to your vendors.

Yes: Design → Documents → Commission invoice (Commission Invoices add-on). Use the Twig editor and the preview; Restore brings back the default.

Turn on the bundled PDF documents add-on. Then the admin and vendors can download PDF files and the e-mail carries the PDF. Without it, the print view prints the invoice or saves it as PDF in the browser.

Drafts can be deleted; they have no number yet. Issued documents cannot be deleted or renumbered. Correct them with a credit note, or void them if your accounting rules allow it.

The primary currency of your store, the currency core accounting records. Each document keeps its currency.

Does it change anything on the storefront?

Section titled “Does it change anything on the storefront?”

No. The add-on has no storefront output and does not affect checkout or the full page cache.

All invoices, credit notes and billing details, the settings and the templates. Export the CSV and keep your PDF files first. Core vendor accounting stays as it is.

No. There are no vendors and no commissions in CS-Cart Standard or Ultimate; the installation is refused there.

No new invoices or credit notes are generated or issued, and CSV export, PDF files and invoice e-mails stop. Documents already issued stay available to you and your vendors and can still be printed, marked paid or voided. Orders and vendor accounting are never affected.

Open Add-ons → Manage add-ons → Commission Invoices & Vendor Statements → Settings → License. The status says what is wrong: no key, a key for another add-on, a revoked license, or a domain that the license does not cover. Fix it and click Check now. See License.

Yes. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by the same license. Turn off Generate invoices automatically on copies, so a copy never creates or e-mails invoices.

What happens if your license server is down?

Section titled “What happens if your license server is down?”

Nothing changes for 14 days: the add-on keeps working and retries. Only if no check succeeds for 14 days is it switched off until the next successful check.

Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?

Section titled “Does the license check slow down my storefront or checkout?”

No. The check runs in the admin panel or from cron, once a day. The storefront never runs it.
