Open Marketing > Instagram feed. Choose one of the two ways.

  1. In the Meta App Dashboard (developers.facebook.com/apps), create an app of the Business type and add the Instagram product.
  2. Open Instagram > API setup with Instagram login. Under Generate access tokens, add your Instagram professional account and log in.
  3. Click Generate token, copy it and paste it into Access token. Click Connect.

The add-on checks the token with Instagram, shows your username and starts the first sync.

  1. In the same app, open Instagram > API setup with Instagram login > Set up Instagram business login.
  2. Copy the Valid OAuth redirect URI shown on the add-on page into the redirect URI list of the app. It must match exactly and use https.
  3. Copy the Instagram app ID and Instagram app secret into the add-on and click Connect with Instagram. Allow access on the Instagram page.

The add-on exchanges the code for a long-lived token. The app secret is stored encrypted and kept for later reconnects.

Instagram tokens last 60 days. The add-on refreshes the token when it is older than 7 days (on a sync or the cron job), so it does not expire while the feed is synced. The card shows the expiry date. If a token is revoked or expires, the card turns red: connect again.
