Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.0.0 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view
FedEx REST API shipping for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor: live rates with delivery dates, FedEx labels (PDF, PNG, ZPL), multi-package shipments, return labels, cancel, pickups, tracking and address validation. Works on CS-Cart 4.17 to 4.21.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Rates at checkout from the FedEx Rate and Transit Times API: your account (negotiated) rates or list rates, 20 services (Ground, Home Delivery, Express Saver, 2Day, overnight, SameDay, International Priority and Economy …), delivery date or transit days, residential flag, optional direct signature and declared value, markup, rounding, free shipping threshold and a fallback rate.
- Labels from the order page, or automatically when the order reaches a status you choose: PDF, PNG or ZPL II, one label per package, multi-package shipments, customs lines and the commercial invoice for international parcels.
- Return labels (print-return-label), cancel a shipment at FedEx, and a purchase that is protected against duplicates (double clicks, retries, lost responses).
- Pickups: book and cancel FedEx Express and FedEx Ground pickups from the shipment list.
- Tracking with scheduled checks (Track API), status and scan events on the order, optional order status when delivered, tracking number as a regular CS-Cart shipment.
- Address validation (Address Validation API): resolves the delivery address and uses the FedEx residential / business classification for the label.
- OAuth 2.0 credentials stored encrypted, separate test (sandbox) and live mode, optional child key for FedEx-compatible providers, a job queue with retries and a log with CSV export.
- Multi-Vendor: marketplace owner mode (one FedEx account for everyone, vendors may create labels if you allow it) or one FedEx account per vendor in the vendor panel.
How it relates to the built-in “FedEx (REST)” module
Section titled “How it relates to the built-in “FedEx (REST)” module”CS-Cart 4.18 and later ship a core module (the carrier “FedEx (REST)”, class Fedexrest) that calls the FedEx Rate API for checkout rates; one shipping method per service, no labels, returns, pickups, tracking or address validation. CS-Cart 4.17 only has the retired SOAP “FedEx” module. This add-on has its own carrier (“FedEx REST Rates & Labels”, module kv_fedex_rest), its own shipping services and its own tables, so it does not conflict with the core module: you can keep both installed, and use ours on 4.17.2, where there is no REST module in core at all. It does not replace core files.
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”- CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 to 4.21.x (Ultimate and Multi-Vendor).
- PHP 7.4 to 8.3, depending on your CS-Cart version. Smarty 4 and 5.
- A FedEx account number and a FedEx Developer Portal project (free) with the Rates, Ship, Track, Address Validation and Pickup APIs. The queue needs a cron job (see Configuration).
