No. Reviews, ratings, photos, votes, “Verified purchase”, vendor replies and approval stay in the core add-on and in Products → Product reviews. This add-on adds videos, the gallery, filters, Q&A and rewards around them. If you turn it off, the product page shows exactly the core reviews again.

The most common reasons:

  • the file is larger than the size limit;
  • the video is longer than the length limit;
  • the format is not MP4, MOV or WebM;
  • Who can add videos is limited to signed-in customers or verified buyers.

Also check the PHP limits shown under Upload limits of this server. The server’s upload_max_filesize and post_max_size must allow the file.

iPhone videos do not show a preview in the form

Section titled “iPhone videos do not show a preview in the form”

Some browsers cannot play HEVC (High Efficiency) videos. The form then says so, but the upload works: the server checks the file itself. Shoppers whose browser cannot play HEVC see the poster. For the widest playback, ask reviewers to record in “Most Compatible” mode, or to share long videos as YouTube links.

Do YouTube or Vimeo set cookies on my product pages?

Section titled “Do YouTube or Vimeo set cookies on my product pages?”

Not before a shopper clicks play. The poster is copied to your store when the review is posted, and the player loads only after the click. YouTube uses youtube-nocookie.com, Vimeo uses “do not track”. The optional privacy note tells shoppers which service plays the video.

Uploaded videos are stored in your store’s image storage (images/kv_pvr/), or on your CDN storage if you use one. YouTube and Vimeo videos stay on those services; only the poster image is stored.

Can someone upload a script disguised as a video?

Section titled “Can someone upload a script disguised as a video?”

No. A file is accepted only when its content is a real MP4, MOV or WebM video with a video track, whatever its name. It is saved under a random name with a .mp4 or .webm extension.

From shoppers who meet Who can answer (by default, verified buyers). Answers by the store and by vendors are marked Store or Seller and are published at once. Customer answers can wait for approval.

Can vendors answer questions? (Multi-Vendor)

Section titled “Can vendors answer questions? (Multi-Vendor)”

Yes, in their vendor panel, for their own products only. They also approve or reject questions, customer answers and videos of their products, and they get an e-mail for each new question.

No. Each review gets at most one coupon from this add-on, and each customer gets at most one per product. With Review Request E-mails active, that add-on alone rewards the reviews it brought in: reviews on its review page, and product-page reviews by customers who have an open request for the product.

Yes. Review Request E-mails sends the requests and owns their rewards. The review page in its e-mails gets the video fields of this add-on, and the videos are stored on the reviews it creates. Without that add-on, use fn_kv_photo_video_reviews_get_review_url() to put signed review links into your own e-mails (see Developer notes).

No. Google shows FAQ results only for a few authoritative sites, and a second FAQ block next to SEO Pro Suite would duplicate it. The add-on adds the customer photos and videos to the existing review markup instead.

Yes. Product pages stay cacheable for guests. Forms, votes and eligibility load separately for each visitor.

Yes. A license is bound to one base domain and covers all its subdomains, for example www. or staging.. Local development hosts (localhost, private IP addresses, .test, .local) are always allowed. A store on another domain needs its own license.

What happens if the license is missing or expires?

Section titled “What happens if the license is missing or expires?”

New stores work for 14 days before a key is needed. Without a valid license, product pages show the core reviews only: no video fields, players, gallery, Q&A tab, filters or new rewards. Core reviews keep working, and your data stays in the admin panel. Issued coupons stay valid. When only the updates and support period ends, everything keeps working.

Does the license check slow down my store or send customer data?

Section titled “Does the license check slow down my store or send customer data?”

No. The check runs once a day in the admin panel or by cron, never on storefront requests. It sends only the license key, the add-on ID and version, your storefront host names and the CS-Cart version. No customer or review data is sent.

Where do I enter the Marketplace license number?

Section titled “Where do I enter the Marketplace license number?”

Either in Add-ons → Manage add-ons (the add-on’s license field) or on the add-on’s License tab. The add-on reads it from both places.

Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
