Price Drop & Back-in-Stock Alerts
Add-on ID: kv_price_stock_alerts · Edition: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor · Latest version: 1.1.1 · Compatible with: CS-Cart & Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x, PHP 7.4 – 8.3 · Changelog: view
Shoppers subscribe on the product page to three kinds of alerts: the price drops (optionally only below a target price), the product is back in stock and only a few are left. The add-on watches the product, puts the alert in a send queue the moment the price or stock changes, and sends it by e-mail (and optionally Telegram) in throttled batches. Each variation is a separate product, so each one has its own alerts. A demand report shows which out-of-stock items shoppers want most and how many people are watching each price.
Key features
Section titled “Key features”- Three alert types per product or variation: price drop (with an optional target price), back in stock, low stock (threshold in the settings).
- Throttled send queue. Alerts are queued right after the product is saved, an order changes stock, or a bulk update runs. A cron job sends a limited batch per run. Without cron, batches go out while someone works in the admin panel.
- Catches every change. A rolling re-check of watched products also picks up changes from imports, the REST API and catalog promotions.
- E-mail channel with editable templates in Design → E-mail templates (price drop, back in stock, low stock, confirmation).
- Optional Telegram channel through your own bot. The channel layer is pluggable, so other add-ons can register SMS or push channels.
- Demand report in the admin panel: waiting shoppers, price watchers, lowest and average target price, notifications sent, orders placed after an alert. Includes the core “Notify me” list.
- Multi-Vendor: vendors see the demand report of their own products in the vendor panel, without shopper e-mail addresses.
- GDPR-friendly: double opt-in for guests, one-click unsubscribe (one alert or all) in every message, a “My alerts” page, automatic clean-up, and integration with the core GDPR add-on (consent checkbox, data export and anonymization).
- Works with the core feature. Replace the core “Notify me when back in stock” form with the widget, or keep both. Existing core subscriptions can be copied or moved in one click.
- Cache-safe storefront widget loaded by AJAX, scoped CSS, RTL support, all texts as language variables.

How it works in one paragraph
Section titled “How it works in one paragraph”The product page has an empty holder that loads the alert widget by AJAX, so full-page and block caches never show one shopper’s state to another. A subscription stores the product, alert type, e-mail and the price at the time of subscribing. When a product is saved, its stock changes, or its status is toggled, the add-on re-checks the subscriptions of that product at the end of the request and queues the alerts that fire. A queue run (cron, admin activity or the Process queue now button) re-checks a batch of watched products, polls Telegram for new chats, sends up to Messages per run alerts, and cleans up old data once a day.
