Forge is a storefront theme for tool and hardware merchants, builders’ and trade suppliers, fixings and PPE shops: stores whose customers know what they want, buy in quantity and reorder by SKU. The home page opens with a trade counter: a hero framed by hazard stripes next to a Quick order pad where shoppers type SKUs, see the right price for the quantity and add every line to the cart at once. Products are shown as dense list rows with SKU, a stock light, a price-break strip from your CS-Cart quantity discounts and prices excluding and including tax.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”- The Forge theme, a child of the standard Responsive theme, so every add-on keeps working.
- Four styles that change corners, rules, plates and type weight, not only the colours:
- Hi-Vis: concrete ground, charcoal header and hero, safety yellow, hairline plates, hazard stripes.
- Workshop: dark-first graphite, yellow top bar and quick order header, hazard-stripe section rules, heaviest type.
- Signal: white yard, fire red, square corners, 2 px ink rules and outlined plates, black department bar.
- Steel: cool steel ground, navy header and hero, electric orange, soft-shadow plates with 6 px corners.
- Quick order pad block: SKU and quantity lines resolved as you type (exact SKU, or suggestions by name), the price of the quantity tier per line, a running total, “Add N lines to cart” (one request), Popular SKUs chips (the block’s products). Signed-in customers also get Upload CSV and Reorder of their last order.
- List rows as the default product list on category, search and vendor pages (grid still selectable) and as a block template for home sections, with a row cards grid option: compare box, image, brand, name, SKU, rating, spec chips, stock light, 1+ / 5+ / 10+ price breaks (the tier of the chosen quantity lights up), price excl./incl. tax, quantity stepper and Add.
- Excl./incl. tax switch in section heads, category results and the product page; the choice is kept in the shopper’s browser. Prices come from CS-Cart’s own tax calculation.
- Department plates block template: numbered plates with product count, three subcategories, category image.
- Product pages: brand line, condensed title, codes strip (SKU, MPN, EAN), key points, a framed buy box (price excl./incl. tax, the full quantity-discount table with “you save”, quantity + Add to cart in one row, stock line, branch stock from the Warehouses add-on, dispatch note), spec plate on the product image and a “Need 50 or more?” quote bar (Kavio Labs B2B Quote Request add-on when installed, else your contact form).
- Category pages: large condensed title with the product count, subcategory buttons, filters (bottom sheet on phones), sort bar with the tax switch.
- Homepage: trade counter, department plates, trade deals as list rows, trade account band, clearance row cards, service plates and brand grid, journal and reviews, newsletter and a footer with hazard stripes.
- Mega menu with “More”, sticky header, mobile bottom bar with Quick order, sticky buy bar and swipe gallery on phones, subtle animations (off for visitors who prefer reduced motion).
- Self-hosted fonts (Barlow Condensed and Barlow, SIL Open Font License): no external font requests.
- Demo content on activation: the “Ironline Supply Co.” catalogue (9 departments, 43 products with illustrations, SKUs, spec features, quantity discounts and reviews, blog posts, menu), so the store looks complete right away.
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”- CS-Cart (incl. Ultimate) and Multi-Vendor 4.17.2 – 4.21.x (tested on 4.17.2 and 4.21.2).
- PHP 7.2.5 to 8.3, depending on your CS-Cart version.
- Works with the full page cache of 4.21.
Licence
Section titled “Licence”Forge uses a domain-bound licence like every Kavio Labs product. Without a valid licence (after the 14-day period of a new installation, or 14 days after the licence server became unreachable) the storefront shows the standard Responsive look instead of the Forge design; cart, checkout and orders keep working and visitors see no message.
