Can a customer see another customer’s data?

Section titled “Can a customer see another customer’s data?”

That is the risk this add-on was built around. Only plain guests receive stored pages, and a page is stored only from a plain guest’s visit, after checks on the finished page. Any session data the add-on does not know means a normal page. Before each release a test signs in two customers, fills carts, switches language and currency, uses the vendor panel, then scans every stored file for their names, e-mail addresses, tokens and cart items.

My add-on stopped the cache for a visitor. Is something wrong?

Section titled “My add-on stopped the cache for a visitor. Is something wrong?”

No. The admin page lists the reason, for example Unknown visitor data in the session: my_key. If that key never changes what a page shows, add it to Additional safe session keys. Leave it if you are not sure.

Look at Why pages were not used. Common reasons: many visitors with a cart, or links with parameters the add-on does not know. Add safe URL parameters in the settings, and run the warmer at night. A store with little traffic also fills the cache slowly.

No. PHP and a writable var/ folder are enough. OPcache makes stored pages several times faster; the admin page warns when it is off.

Does it work with the core Full page cache of 4.21?

Section titled “Does it work with the core Full page cache of 4.21?”

They do not run together. While the core add-on is active, this add-on stays off and tells you so.

Changes made through CS-Cart, including orders, imports, vendors and the API, drop the affected pages at once. A system that writes straight to the database is covered by the page lifetime. The cart and checkout never use stored pages, so an order always uses live prices and stock.

A stored page expires at the moment an active promotion starts or ends.

Browser tags in the page run as usual. Server side work on a page view does not run on a stored page, the same as under any full page cache. This add-on works with Google Analytics 4, Meta and pixel add-ons that send their events from the browser.

It stays under the disk limit and stops writing when less than 100 MB of free space is left. Pages are compressed; a page took about 30 KB on our test store.

The license check sends the license key, domain and versions once a day from the admin panel. No customer data leaves your store.

On the add-on’s License tab, or enter your CS-Cart Marketplace license number in Add-ons > Manage add-ons.

What happens if the license expires or is not valid?

Section titled “What happens if the license expires or is not valid?”

Without a valid license pages are no longer stored or sent from the cache, and the storefront keeps working at its normal speed. After the update period the add-on keeps working; only updates and support stop.

One license covers one CS-Cart installation. Subdomains of the licensed domain are included.

No. Development and staging hosts (localhost, *.test, dev., staging. subdomains) never need a license.

Work through the troubleshooting guide, then contact support with your CS-Cart version, edition, PHP version and the add-on version (1.0.0).
